ROFL that reminds me of a story, now it is funny, when it happened I was very nervous.J
My youngest daughter Brandi worked on the lockdown unit of one of the nursing homes here for
quite a few years.
Every year the nursing home had a big Easter Egg hunt for the kids in the neighborhood, LaJeanne and I would take C.J., Heavan and Psyres to hunt eggs it seemed Brandi was always
working on that day.The first year we took them, Heavan was about 9, so C.J.would have been 5 and Psyres was 3.
After they hunted they wanted to go show Brandi all they had gotten, so one of the nurses let us on the unit, she oohed and ahhed over their haul, and we started back out.She told me one of the nurses on the other end of this really long hall would unlock the door and let us out.
Just as we went around the corner so I couldn't see her anymore, we saw this older lady in a walker made out of pvc pipe come out of her room and she started following us.
I didn't know why she was locked down, so I speeded up just a little bit, just enough that the kids didn't notice. She sped up also, so I told the kids let's walk fast, don't run and see who can get to the door first.
It sounded like a horse behind us, I am thinking what the hell am I gonna do if this woman grabs one of the kids, I can't knock her out.
All of a sudden Psyres stops dead in his tracks, turns around and screams, you quit chasing my gannie, I am tired and you gonna make me spill my eggs!
I started laughing, slowed down, the woman kept coming, ran around us and into the dining room.
