When I got off work yesterday, the sweet husband said, Let's go riding down the county roads and see what we can see.
I asked if we would be home in time for the little boomerang puppy to eat and do his outside run, and he said sure, but we will take him with us, he will enjoy the ride.
Forrest was excited, he likes to ride in the car.
We drove to Mexia, and then back to Jewett, and God only knows where else, and it was getting later and later.
I finally said, he may not have eaten, but he's going to have to at least pee, you need to stop.
I get out, open the back door, Boomie looks at me like I have lost my mind, shakes his head no, he ain't getting out in the woods, so I reach in and lift him out.
He walks around, smells all the new smells, finally does fills both his needs and as he is getting finished a raccoon leisurely walks out of the woods right beside him.
Boom finished in record time, jumped from the bush to inside the car with no steps in between and I am pretty sure, if he had a cell phone, would have been calling the animal abuse people.
I tried to get him to come into the front seat with me, but he kept shaking his head no, so I reached back and got him, and told him it was all Poppies fault.
I tell Poppie, Boomie is mad at you.
Poppie says, why is he mad at me? I didn't do anything to him.
Boomie says he had to poop in the woods, and he is not a bear. Then a big monster tried to get him and you just sat in the car and didn't try to kill the monster or anything. It's past time for his dinner and you just kept driving in the woods.
Poppie says, is the dog telling you all that?
Yes, he is, because he's mad, he's not talking to you.
Poppie says, boomer, its gonna be awhile longer before you eat, don't know how long it will take to drop your grannie off at DePaul.
Then neither Boomie or Grannie were talking to Poppie.
