A few days ago I had to go back to the doctor because he had finally gotten the report on a Carotid Ultrasound that I had to have done.
I was a little concerned, but really not a lot, just one of those things you kind of fret over.
The sweet husband had asked me if he needed to go with me and I said no, it's no big deal.
He asked me if I was going to the store after the appointment and I said yes, and he said good, then you can't cover up what the doctor said I will be able to tell by what you buy.I just said, yeah, right big boy, good luck with that.
The Queen of the No Maker of Lists before going to the store and Princess of the Forget the List at home if you did happen to make one cannot be predictable under any circumstances.
So I go to the doctor and it is not a bad report, I have a moderate blockage in my carotid artery and I either have to get serious about losing a few pounds or go on a cholesterol medicine. So I immediately begin to bargain with him, and I can stay half serious about losing a few pounds, take Cholesterol medicine until I do get it lost, then he will take me off the medicine. After I get home from the store, the SH helps me take in the groceries, I still haven't said anything about the appointment. He looks through my bags and says it wasn't what you wanted to hear, you aren't going to do anything about it yet, but it's not something that going to scare the hell out of me, so we are ok girl.
How the hell did you get that from my groceries? And privately in my head thinking that's the last time I go to the store after I go to the doctor.
He says, if it was going to make you do a lot of thinking about how to tell me, you would have bought the stuff to make fudge, cause heavy thinking makes you want chocolate. He wants you to lose some weight because you bought a load of stuff for salads, but you aren't going to do it right away cause you bought ice cream.
what in the hell can a woman say to that???????????
