A Shoe Can't Hurt a Tough Old Fart

The sweetest little psychotic puppy in the world is very, VERY, proud to have his own pair of shoes that he can do with as he pleases, and his Poppie can't yell at him or take them away from him.

However, I have told Poppy several times that the puppy gets over excited when he is in a fight with one of the shoes, and it stings a little bit when he slams his head from side to side if he's by your legs when the fight begins.

Poppie thinks that is just crazy, he's a tough old man and no puppy can hurt him shaking a shoe.

Okie dokie, I agree, you are a pretty tough old fart, and maybe it wouldn't hurt you, but it stung me a little bit, and now I lift my feet if he and the shoe start arguing too close to my chair.

About an hour later, poppy dozes off, the puppy drags his shoe over by poppies legs, then jumps up on the chair and lays down with the shoe beside poppies hips and I think, that's gonna hurt, dude, I don't care how tough you are.

So I say, honey,HONEY, he rouses up and says WHAT? I say, the puppy is beside you and he has the shoe.

He never even looks down, he tells me , I TOLD YOU, the dog isn't going to hurt me with a damn shoe!

Ok, sorry, and under my breath, we'll see who's so damn tough.

The puppy plays quietly for awhile, and I even begin to think, maybe it's going to be ok.

Then the shoe doesn't move the way the Boomer thought it should and the shaking starts, as he stands up he really gets it going and it got Poppy right in the gut, really hard and really fast, Poppy is waking up and yelling, the puppy is shaking his head faster and faster, and I am actually about to fall out of my chair laughing.

As poppy gets the dog out of his chair, and is examining those red marks on his belly, he said that little SOB shakes that shoe damn hard!

Of course I tell him, I told you so, then came damn near collapsing as he sits there rubbing his tummy and muttering to himself that he was damn glad he wasn't laying on his side, with anything important to him facing the dog.
