sometimes, the only reply one is able to give is, well, all righty then~

I was telling Randy the plans the nieces and I are making to get together for lunch once every month or two and my sweet daughter walks through the living room and overhears us.

She sits down in the recliner, and says, I have been meaning to talk to you about this, and I think this is a good time. Naturally, I say ok, lets talk.

She wants to know how I know these are the people I grew up with if I haven't seen them in years. What if they are different people, and I don't know it.

I open my mouth, close it, open it again, and say, well I just know, LOL we have all changed but not to the point of being unrecognizeable.

She replys, but you don't know for sure, and they may be saying they are your brothers or sisters  children, but you don't know that they are.

I said, their mother said they were, and she was there, ROFL!

She said, you and their mother are pretty old, you might not even notice a ringer.

Ringer? Uh, hon, I would know if someone was pretending to be my child, a mom just knows.

As usual, my sweet husband chimes in and says the exact right thing and calmed the situation down immediately.

Babe, ain't nobody in the blue eyed world ever claimed to be a Wilhite or a Wooten unless they had too  there may be some that claim they are not, but never the other way around.

Well, all righty then!
