Spencer's POVThey took longer than I thought to be ready. I thought they would only be a couple of minutes. So I decided to stay in the common room while I waited.
It's been half an hour. The fuck are they doing?
"Uh, hey Spencer. What're you up to?"
I sit up on the couch so I can see who is talking to me.
"Oh, hey Pete. What's up?"
"Wanted to stop by. Just finished debate team practice. Tony had said I could come over whenever and I figured why not? I wasn't up to anything and I didn't think.."
"Pete?"
"Yeah?"
"You were bored after practice and wanted to hang out. It's cool. How was practice? Did you talk to Mj?"
"I did!" His face lights up and he moves to join me on the couch.
I fully sit up so I can talk to him properly. "Well, don't keep me waiting, what did you talk about?!"
"Well when we were leaving the school she had mentioned a new restaurant she wanted to check out."
"Yes??"
"And so I asked her what kind of food the restaurant served."
"Okay?"
"She said it was a sushi bar."
"I feel like I'm pulling teeth here, Peter."
"Right, sorry."
"You don't have to apologize. Just tell me if she said yes!"
"Said yes to what?"
"Well you asked her out, right? To the sushi bar?"
"Well, no.. that would have been a lot better.."
I dramatically fall back onto the arm of the couch. "You're killing me smalls."
"I don't really like sushi!"
"Alright, fair enough. But, you could have asked her out to a different restaurant. Or bowling. Or ice skating. Or.. whatever teenagers do."
"Yeah.. I don't know if I'm there yet. You see, I have this plan.."

Nats POV
I finally found a suit after what felt like forever. I apparently forgot to have them washed last time so it took me a while, but I did find an older suit that'll work. Either way, I know Spencer will be a fan.
I walk out of the elevator, swaying my hips just a bit extra knowing it'll bring Spencer to her knees. But, she is not here. Well, that was for nothing.
I do hear some voices and.. yup. That was her laughter. I follow it to the common room where I see Spencer talking to Peter.
They seem very into whatever they're talking about.
I can't help but listen in. Seeing her get along with the kid so well melts my heart.
"Well, you have to do what works for you, but I would say, just go for it. Something simple, even. A movie or video games? The worst she could say is no. If that happens, then we can play video games while eating junk food all day."
