Chapter One Hundred Seventy Two

Spencers POV

They wanted us to come in at 1 so we had some work to do before we could leave.

For one, I had to call the person that was suppose to get a tattoo today and tell them I'd have to reschedule. It was one of my regulars (can I have regulars yet? Eh) and they understood completely, especially once I said I'd give a discount for the inconvenience.

And then Nat had to call Fury. Thankfully since he already knew we were waiting for the call, he understood completely and joined in our excitement.

      Of course we had to call Melina and Alexei to let them know it was finally happening. They swore they were going to book a flight so they could be here to help.

      Yup. Had to remind them that I can teleport. Best to be nice to them, they are getting older. They are going to be grandparents, after all.

      And Yelena. Instead of calling her, we just teleported over to the compound, finding her and telling her together. Again, seeing a black widow jump and squeal with excitement is adorable.

     She insisted that she come over to the house so she could be there when we got back and of course we couldn't deny her that.

     But first, we have to tell everyone else.

     FRIDAY called everyone to the common room. Luckily Clint was here to help train some people. They all filtered in giving us weird looks as we were nearly bouncing off the walls.

     "Okay usually I try to play this out but my excitement is way too high to keep it in and I want you all to be just as excited."

      "Okay, what is it?" Wanda asks.

      I look over to Nat and we both smile, turning to them and shouting at the same time, "we're having a baby!"

      They were confused. We quickly elaborated.

     "We started the adoption process awhile ago and we finally got a call this morning that they have a baby for us. They want us to go in this afternoon to pick her up!" Nat tells them.

     Wanda immediately jumps up, "no fucking way! You're having a baby! And it's a girl!"

     Clint also comments, "yes! I'm going to be an uncle!"

     Soon everyone was up and congratulating us. The excitement from one person only amplifying the next as we got to talk about the little bundle of joy we were about to get.

     It's good to know we have so much support. This kid is going to have so many people that love them.

     Clint called Laura so we could tell her as well and she also couldn't contain her joy, making sure we send pictures and visit as soon as possible.

     Once we were finally able to get away from the compound, we stopped at the house for a few things, Yelena accompanying us to the house.

     I then teleported over to pick up Melina and Alexei. They wanted to stay at our house for a while but we insisted that we have a few days or so alone with her so she can get use to us and the house.

     They understood but stood firm that they would be staying soon. We accepted that.

     Then the only thing left to do was get to the adoption agency.

     We drove, of course.
