Nats POV

Carol arrived shortly after I made the call and we were all gathered in the meeting room. With the help of our little hydra traitor we caught we were able to narrow down a place of where the Ghost might meet them. And by picking through some intercepted messages, the time they would be meeting some of the higher ups in hydra.

We knew something bigger had to be going on but the ghost working with hydra would be bad. Like world domination bad. Hydra has gotten close a few times and with help form someone like the Ghost, they just might be able to do it.

Of course this raises the question of who has the Ghost been working for before hydra? I'm pretty sure the red room is gone so it couldn't be them. Well, I'm like 90%. There was no body to check, so ya know, Drekov must be dead and therefore no more red room. Anyway, if it wasn't either of them, then that leaves a third party that we don't even know about, which would suck. Or they've been working on their own this whole time which might suck even more because just think of how much damage could be done if they joined forces with someone. Which is probably what hydra is hoping for.

Again, this is all still assuming our little rat is telling us the truth and that he has accurate information. This could all be a set up and there's too many variables to really be sure about anything.

Carol thankfully breaks me out of my little spiral when she asks, "so what did you really need me for? This plan is pretty straight forward and I don't really see why I have to be here."

I see her point, we brought her from who knows what planet all for what seems to be a simple capture. But the truth is we have no idea what the Ghost is truly capable of, or really what the meeting with hydra is all about and it's safer to be prepared.
And that's just what I told her.

"The ghost is no joke. We have no idea who they are or what they're capable of. Especially with the wildcard of hydra, it would just be more reassuring to have all the bases covered."

She just simply nods to this, accepting her roll in what's to come. I know she was probably doing something important but she's usually at least a little happy to see us. Something is definitely up with her. I'll be sure to talk to her about it later.

"Well as long as everyone understands their roll then we should be good on that front. The only thing is timing. Unfortunately with Ivan being a low dog on the totem poll, he only had so much information. So, we're going to plan to leave early in the morning, bringing us there to sneak in at night."

I attempt to not zone out to Steve telling us the plan for what seems like the 100th time, I'm sure that it's just me.

"From there it'll be a waiting game. With what we've intercepted we narrowed it down to a few days, so this could be a long wait. Be prepared. It's going to be cold and you're going to get hungry. This isn't exactly a vacation. Let's just get in and get the job done so we can put this behind us."

Steve even looks like he's over this meeting. It seems simple enough but with the ghost, could it really be that easy? One can only hope.

As we leave the meeting room I attempt to talk to Carol but Tony takes over the conversation. No surprise there.

Wow, where is all this hate coming from? I really need to find things to do besides work..

Right, Tony was talking. "So I think just having a simple movie night, maybe a few drinks would be a great way to end today. That way we can relax a little before maybe spending a few days in hells freezer."
