Spencers POV"Hey love, do you know where my bow and arrow are hiding?"
"Yes, I do," she answers.
I wait a bit thinking she'll elaborate. Since she doesn't, "okay.. will you tell me where they are?"
"Nope," she states plainly.
I do a pouty face even though she is not in the same room as me.
"Well, why not?"
There's no response for awhile. Just me sitting in our living room by my lonesome in silence.
"You know exactly why, bub," she walks in the room, breaking the silence.
"Holy shit, Nat," I grab my chest trying to calm down. "You are so quiet. You gave me heart palpitations."
She smiles, "that's only partly funny. Are you actually okay?"
"Yes, of course. I'm fine. As always," I brush it off.
She gives me a look.
"Are you really?"
"Really really. Promise," I have to promise a lot now.
"Okay, good."
"But back to this bow and arrow thing.."
"Absolutely not," she shuts me down.
So I do the pouty face, hoping it'll work now that she can see it.
She won't look at me. Damn it. That's cheating.
"Don't try that shit. You know why you shouldn't use them."
"But Dr. Cho said I should try to use it more. And what better way to gain strength than using the bow!" I try to persuade her.
She once again gives me the look. So I decide to play her game and not look at her as she makes the face.
I can practically feel the eye roll from here.
She places her hand on my upper arm, drawing both of our attentions to it.
I still flinch a little.
At the memory and the sight.
The glove with those stones really did a number on my arm. Dr. Cho and Bruce and some other fabulous doctors that were helping them did an excellent job in repairing what they could.
Which was most of it.
It's pretty much back to being fully functional thanks to the docs and Tony and my incredible wife that never gave up and has helped me in this long ass recovery.
But.. I want to do more. I'm ready to do more. I need to do more.
Sure, it may be a little rough around the edges; I had some major scar tissue going on. But with Dr. Chos machines, I'm pretty much back to normal. Plus. I covered most of what was left with tattoos once they said I could.
Oh. Yeah. Thankfully we went with my left arm for the whole infinity stones thing. Which, by the way, is the most crazy and expensive and destructive piece of jewelry that I have ever worn and hopefully will ever wear.
So yes, I can still do tattoos. Thankfully. It has definitely helped me keep my sanity.
I could have lost my damn mind on so many occasions.
