Spencer POV

Since Nat loved the idea so much, it hadn't taken us very long to plan out our home and put it into action. Thankfully Tony knows a lot of people, so it wasn't very hard to get people on the job and get everything put into place.

It's amazing how money can make people do things. I always new this, it's part of why I was able to be the Ghost. But to see someone like Tony get a house built within a few months is pretty impressive.

Nat and I were apart of the process to make sure it was all done how we had planned and wanted. The most fun was getting to pick out the designs for the rooms, especially the kitchen. We splurged a little on our home since we planned on this being the foundation for the rest of our lives.

So we were pretty proud of what was built.

And it was all done before our first anniversary, so we got to spend that first milestone living in a home we could call our own.

We had a nice home warming party, breaking in the house with a proper avengers welcome.

It was a great time as always and it was fun to host our first party together, because I'm sure there will be plenty more to come. I know we will have so much more to celebrate.

It's been quiet, but it is so nice to have a whole house to yourself. No worries on anyone walking in on you.

Of course we have plenty of visitors, though we clarify they need to give us a warning before stoping by.

Because, again, we don't want to worry about anyone walking in on us.

We do have guests bedrooms. Yelena has her own room for when she wants to visit. And of course some extra rooms for when we want to add onto the family.

But for now, we are enjoying our time together.

       Fast forward another few months.

Nat and I are getting ready to go to the compound. Why, you may ask? Well..

"Love, I still don't see why I need to be there," I try pointing this out once again as I'm getting ready.

"I told you Tony asked me to make sure you came with me. That's all I know," Nat explains from the bathroom.

I flop onto the bed, deciding I'm good to go.

"I just don't know why I would need to be at an avengers meeting. I'm not an avenger. Nor will I be one. It's been a couple of years, I would have thought that would be obvious by now," I secretly let out what I'm worried this meeting is about.

"I don't think that's it, bub. They all know you don't want to be an avenger. No one is going to try to pressure you into it," she says as she walks out of the bathroom. She then also flops onto the bed, instantly falling into my arms afterwards.

"Ugh. I know you're right. But I just don't know why else they could possibly need me to be there. Obviously I'm going, I just don't like the fact that I don't know what it's for."

She sits up more so she's looking at me, then brushes my hair back. "Spence, I'm sure it's no big deal. Whatever it is, I'll be there with you. Tony is just being weird."

"Being weird? Why wouldn't he tell you why? That's a little suspicious to me," then I get an idea and sit up, almost pushing Nat back. "Please don't tell me this is a surprise party again?"
