Nats POV

It's morning. That means, once I open my eyes, I have to accept whatever is in front of me.

My brain is still trying to wake me up, but I don't know if I'm ready. Part of me wants to prolong this as long as I can. The other part can't wait any longer.

I'm finally coming to my senses and the rest of my body is accepting it's fate.

The first thing I truly notice is how my head is slowly rising and falling. I hear a faint thump of a steady beat.

A smile takes over my face, my cheeks already hurting.

I don't want to move yet, though; I'm taking in the moment. Letting the happiness truly take over my entire body.

This better be real.

If this is a dream..

"Good morning, love," Spencers voice comes at a whisper, followed by her kissing my head.

This confirmation practically has me springing up to be greeted by her smiling face.

"Bub!" Then I go in for a kiss, wanting to deepen it, but I'm stopped by Spencer.

"Love, your sister is still asleep on me," she still whispers.

Oh, right.

"How are you feeling?" I'm still smiling. Try to stop me.

"So much better. Feel like I could run a marathon," she's confident.

I feel her forehead, "no fever!"

"No fever," she affirms.

I collapse back on to her, nuzzling back to the comfortable position I was in before.

"You're here. You're real. You're okay," now I finally whisper.

"I am. I told you I'm not going anywhere, Tasha. I'm sorry I worried you."

"More like had me near the edge of the cliff, but it's okay since you're okay."

"I'm sor.."

"But you still have a lot of explaining to do," I cut her off. Then decide to add, "And don't even think about running."

She clears her throat. "Don't worry, love. Just because I said I felt like I could run a marathon doesn't mean I actually would. I owe you so much, an explanation is the least of it. I'm just glad I have you in my arms once again and we're all safe."

"You are still in a load of shit for this, don't think you're getting out of it just because you're injured," I'm firm.

"Ah.. of course not. I deserve whatever punishment you want to give me," her voice is playful, but I'm not giving in.

"Yes, you do," I just agree.

She gives a soft laugh. "Fair enough. I'm just happy you still want to be with me."

I decide her punishment starts now, so I don't respond to that.

"You do still want to be with me, right?" There's some worry to her tone.

Once again, I let her sweat it out.

"Um, love? Please tell me you're awake. And that we're okay?" There's some desperation this time so I give in slightly and offer her a small hum before being taken by slumber once again.
