Nats POV

I can't take my eyes off the screen as I see Spencers name along with a picture of her cooking breakfast wearing a cute apron and flour on her cheek.

Is she really calling me? How did she call me right before we reached the necklace? Is it a coincidence? But then, how is her necklace here?

There's too many questions running through my mind as I zone out from the world around me.

"What do you mean it's Spencer? Like you found her or?" Wanda asks, dragging my attention back up to her and Yelena.

Once I told them it was Spencer I kind of let my attention be brought back to my phone and I forgot they were also here. I forgot where I even am.

"Uh.. she's calling me," I state plainly. Still seems like a weird hallucination.

"She's calling you?"

"Answer her!"

Yelena and Wanda both spoke at once. But I realized Yelena is right; whatever questions I have will be answered once I accept the call.

I swipe my phone and bring it to my ear.

"Um, hello?" I still don't know if it's Spencer, so I don't want to say anything else.

And then her sweet voice comes through the phone and all of the air escapes from me as I collapse to the ground on my knees. I try to gain some back into my lungs as I listen to her.

"Hey, sorry I missed your calls, love. I thought Lena was staying over so I didn't have my phone on me. Is everyone okay?"

I can't answer right away because of the whole trying to breath thing.

"Nat? Is it her? Are you okay?" Yelena's voice comes from right beside me. She must have come to my side once I fell to the ground.

I just nod my head 'yes' kind of hoping that can cover her questions.

"Love? Are you okay?" Now Spencer is making sure I'm okay.

I'm finally able to bring myself to answer, "yeah. Yeah, everyone is okay. I'm okay. Are you okay? Where are you?"

I swear I could hear a faint wince coming from her, but her tone doesn't give anything away.

"I'm at your parents, currently. Why, did Yelena want me to bring her home?"

Okay. She's at my parents? This is just too weird. She also avoided my question on if she's okay. I don't know if that was on purpose or not.

"Uh, no. She's.. she's good. She is still staying with me. Have you been at my parents all day?" I can't help but try to pry further.

All we have are questions now. The team slowly made their way over to the location that the app said the necklace was at, finding the necklace laying by itself in the grass.

I can see Wanda trying to explain as much as she can to the team, but none of us really know what's going on.

Especially since Spencer is on the other line seemingly fine.

"Oh, no. I got here a little while ago. I had a long day full of tattoos and Alexei found out I was going to have dinner by myself so he invited me over to their place to eat," she explains. It's believable. But why does something feel off?

"Well that's good. I'm glad you have someone to have dinner with," I need to get more information out of her without making her worried. "Can I say hi to them real quick? It's been a little bit and I want to thank them."
