Chapter 273: A Maid's Determination

Hayasaka POV

I got up this morning with probably the happiest mood I've ever been in. 

I guess my conversation with Kiyotaka-kun helped a lot with that. 

He would even let me be his maid if he ever wanted to.

My heart was skipping so fast just at that thought of it. 

Maybe he's saying and doing this for me because since he couldn't do anything to get back the person who helped him escape the White Room. 

In a way. 

He looked towards me for some comfort. 

I do wish that I could help him more. 

I want to give him the peaceful life he deserves. 

I'll help him. 

Though...there is this part of me that wanted to take a different route. 

The idea of it is impossible.

Since my best friend is dating him.

Maybe...

No, I'd be a bad person if I take him away from her. 

But the idea of him wanting me to be his maid is enough for me. 

I'm still conflicted with myself. 

Since I have yet to experience having a real boyfriend.

I wanted him to be my boyfriend. 

He's better than any boy I met. 

He reminds me of me in almost every way. 

The first time I met him. 

I thought he was just another gloomy person with barely any expression. 

But as time passes.

I realized just how amazing he was.

Even though the truth of his abilities came from a horrific place that I somehow starting to remember with all of this info being dropped on me. 

He does want to live a normal life and uses his abilities to do so. 

I was silently admiring him.

I'm lucky to be in the same class as Kiyotaka-kun. 

I could've chosen any other boy in this class like Shiba Tatsuya, Kururugi Suzaku or even Masakatsu Shiro.

But Kiyotaka-kun just stood out to me more. 

Well, I know this isn't going to happen. 

But since he trusts me as much as the others. 

I'll at least let him acknowledge me more.

Kaguya: Hayasaka?

Hayasaka broke from her daydream as she turns her attention to her mistress.

Hayasaka: Kaguya-sama? 

Kaguya: You've been acting strange this morning. Are you okay? You seem happier than usual. Did something happen?

Hayasaka: It's nothing. I just...

Yumeko: You spoke with a certain boy, didn't you?
