I didn't tell him really

You had just pulled up outside your house, the light to the living room was on. You felt butterflies flutter around your stomach, you had to tell Nines that you had told Hank about the two of you as well as tell him that Hank had punched Connor. Maybe you should lead with that one.

Climbing out of the car you slammed the door shut, hoping that would signal to Nines that you were back. Before you could reach the door, it opened revealing Nines stood there. He gave you a small smile.

"Hey." You called out as you approached him.

"Hello." He responded as he stood to the side to let you in, you quickly kicked your shoes off and chucked your keys onto the side table.

"Just so you know, work is weird without you around. Even Hank said so." You explained to Nines, who just stared at you.

"So he is not mad at me?"

"He is. But he understood why you did what you did." You told Nines who nodded his head at you, he seemed odd. "Everything okay?"

"No, I missed you and I was extremely bored." Nines admitted making you step towards him, you held your arms out to him.

"Hug?" You suggested as Nines quickly pulled you into himself and let out a loud sigh. "I missed you too."

"I am glad you did, it would be odd if you did not." Nines mumbled into your hair.

"Hey, can I talk to you about something?" You asked as Nines pulled you back and searched your face for clues as to what you wanted to talk about.

"Of course, is something wrong?" He quizzed as he continued to search your face for answers.

"No. No. It's just about a conversation I had with Hank today." You quickly explained as to not panic Nines.

"Okay."

You took ahold of his hand and led him towards the living room, tugging him down to sit beside you.

"So, me and Hank obviously spoke about what happened." You began as Nines nodded his head slowly at you. "I asked him what happened with him and Connor after it all."

"I see." Nines breathed out, he looked very confused.

"Connor basically told him everything that he's done, so they got into an argument." You continued as Nines quirked an eyebrow at you, his curiosity had obviously been peaked.

"An argument, and what did they argue about?" Nines asked, however you didn't have an answer to that, you only knew the outcome of the argument.

"I don't really know, I just know how it ended." You told Nines who furrowed his eyebrows at you. "Hank punched Connor."

Nines stared at you blankly for a few moments before then plastering a smirk on his face. That's when the laughter started to trickle from him.

"I knew that would cheer you up."

"Cheer me up? No that has made my day." Nines sighed as he sunk down into the sofa more, a pleased smile on his face. "I bet he was so shocked by it."

"Yep. Hank said he was." I confirmed which only deepened his satisfied smile.

"Perfect."

You rolled your eyes at him, realising he was getting too much enjoyment from this news, but worst of all it was now time to move onto the awkward part of this conversation. Telling Nines that Hank knew about the two of you.

"Nines there's also something else I need to tell you." You mumbled out as his eyes darted in your direction, he obviously heard the nervousness in your voice.

"What is it?" He questioned, quickly sitting back upright.

"Uh... Uh well..." You began inside on how to tell Nines. "I'm just going to spit it out, Hank knows about us."

Nines brows furrowed as he stared down at the floor, you had no idea what he was thinking, but his LED kept flashing between yellow and red, rapidly.

"I didn't tell him really. He kind of guessed and I just confirmed it." You rambled while he continued to keep his eyes down at the ground.

"How did he guess?" Nines asked, his voice hushed.

"May I remind you that you beat the shit out of Connor?"

"Is he annoyed by it?" Nines then asked, lifting his head back up to look you in the eyes.

"Not at all, actually. He also kind of guessed that you had been a Deviant for longer than what we said. Also complimented you, saying you were good at hiding it all." You told Nines who stared at you, before then putting a small smile on his face.

"I do not mind that he knows, it is good that he does." Nines stated as a look of pride appeared in his eyes, "I am not ashamed to be in a relationship with you, so I do not care who knows. Everyone knows I am a Deviant now. So the rest does not matter either."

A wall of relief crashed against you, you no longer had to hide your relationship with Nines. You could now publicly be a couple and there was nothing anyone could say about it.

"I'm glad Hank knows, I'm just worried about him telling Connor, or Connor finding out." You admitted as a small lump began to form in your throat. You were worried about him finding out, simply because of how he reacted to Nines deviating.

"Do not be, I do not think Hank will let him get away with anything now." Nines reassured as he took ahold of your hand and began to stroke the back of it.

"Hank can only do so much." You pointed out to him as he quirked an eyebrow at you.

"True. I suppose I will just have to hit him again if he says anything." Nines commented casually, making your mouth drop open.

Had he not learnt his lesson?

"You can't just hit him again."

"I was joking, Y/N." Nines smirked making you send a glare his way.

"Asshole."

"Now, I feel like I was promised a nice evening. So shall we get to that?" Nines asked as he jumped up from the sofa and held his hand out to you.

"Were you? I don't remember anything like that." You mused as Nines grabbed ahold of your wrist and tugged it lightly.

"I never forget so, yes you did."

"I think you're lying." You accused as you let Nines pull you up from the sofa.

"I would never." Nines chuckled as he finally managed to pull you up from the sofa.

"Fine, you win." You snorted as he dragged you towards the kitchen.

All your anger for him had seemed to fall away, of course you still had the issue of being split from Hank lingering around. But you were going to find a way to stop that from happening and so was Hank. You were sure you could drag Nines in to help with that too, the only one who would take some convincing was the one Android you didn't even want to think about right now.

Connor.
