I was helping out my little buddy from my school with my partner Hansol, my crush.

I was playing with her as Hansol got her a snack from the vending machine in our school.

"Unni! Are you going to marry Hansol? You said you liked him!" she smiled as my eyes widened, I gestured a shhhh sign as I heard foot steps coming closer to the play ground and as I thought it was Hansol. Crap, did he hear me!?

"Hi" I awkwardly smiled as he just came back with a cookie bag and soda.

"Hey..." he sighed as he looked down.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I opened the cookie bag for my buddy

"I- I like this girl and....I don't know if she likes me..." he confessed as my heart broke, so he likes someone else....

"Y- you should confess to her, who in this world wouldn't like you" I awkwardly laughed as he looked at me with his mesmerizing eyes.

"But..."

"Okay, what does she like?"

"Um, sweets"

"Then let's go get sweets for her first." I "smiled" as we patiently waited for school to end by playing with our buddy but I couldn't concentrate. He likes someone else....I held in my tears and just smiled it off.

We went to the candy store and got a chocolate heart, Hansol was paying for it as an old woman smiled at us.

"Such a cute couple" she said as my eyes widened just waiting for Hansol to go like 'Oh no! We're not a couple, I'm buying a chocolate for someone else' and embarrass me in front of her but he just smiled it off. Weird.

"Now, where does she like to go?" I asked as I looked at his happy face.

"Hmmm, the park" he said as I thought for a minute.

"Confess there tomorrow. I'll be there" I smiled as he nodded.

"Now, I need to go home so bye!" I shouted as I gave him a quick hug and left just like that, crying.

I ignored my mom in the living room and cried on my bed holding myself tightly as I crawled up in my blanket wishing this pain would be gone soon. It hurts to see him love someone else, but I need to be happy for him.

School finished and it felt like I've been in school for 192348 hours. I walked to the park and met up with Hansol.

".....When is she coming?" I asked as we waited for 10 minutes.

"Dumbo, she's here" he laughed as I tilted my head as a response of confusion. What's happening?

"I like you Hayoung-ah, I've always been and I want you to be my girlfriend" he smiled as he gave me the chocolate he picked out yesterday, my favorite. I had my hands cupped over my mouth as I felt joy swarming over my body.

"Yes! I will love to be your girlfriend!" I smiled as he hugged me and gave me a kiss.

"I love you"

"I love you too, Hansol-ah"  I smiled in his arms as he kissed my forehead.
