Orel Puppington sat alone on a bench in the schoolyard, his gaze fixed on the ground, lost in his thoughts. He had always been known as the earnest and obedient boy, a devout follower of his family's strict Christian beliefs. But behind his obedient facade, Orel carried a heavy burden that he had never shared with anyone—until now.

Y/n, a kind-hearted and compassionate classmate, noticed Orel sitting alone and approached him gently. "Hey, Orel, are you okay?" she asked softly, sitting down beside him.

Orel looked up, his eyes filled with a mix of relief and apprehension. He hesitated for a moment, unsure if he should open up about what had been troubling him for so long. But seeing Y/n's caring expression gave him a sliver of hope.

"I... I need to tell you something," Orel finally spoke, his voice trembling slightly. "I... I've been silently suffering from bullying."

Y/n's eyes widened in surprise and concern. She reached out and placed a comforting hand on Orel's shoulder. "Oh, Orel, I'm so sorry to hear that," she said gently. "No one should have to go through that. Can you tell me more about what's been happening?"

Orel took a deep breath, grateful for Y/n's understanding presence. He began to recount how some of his classmates had been teasing and taunting him for his devout faith and his earnest nature. They mocked him for his obedience to his parents and teachers, calling him names and making him feel like an outsider.

"It's... it's hard," Orel admitted quietly, his eyes downcast. "I try to ignore it and just focus on being a good Christian, like my dad teaches me. But sometimes, it feels like I can't escape it."

Y/n listened attentively, her heart aching for Orel's pain. She knew how cruel children could be, especially towards those who were different or tried to stand by their principles.

"You don't deserve any of that," Y/n said firmly, her voice filled with empathy. "Being true to yourself and your beliefs is something to be admired, not mocked. I'm here for you, Orel. You don't have to go through this alone."

Orel looked up at Y/n, tears welling up in his eyes. For the first time in a long while, he felt a sense of relief and acceptance. He had finally found someone who understood him and accepted him for who he was.

"Thank you, Y/n," Orel said softly, his voice quivering with emotion. "I... I'm glad I told you. I don't know what I would have done without your kindness."

Y/n smiled warmly, squeezing Orel's hand reassuringly. "You're welcome, Orel. Anytime you need to talk or just hang out, I'll be here for you."

As they sat together on the bench, the weight of Orel's secret slowly lifted. With Y/n by his side, he knew he could face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing he had someone who truly cared about him.
