Y/n sighed heavily as she packed yet another box, the familiar routine of moving boxes and uprooting her life now feeling like an unwelcome visitor. It seemed like just yesterday she had settled into this city, made friends, and even found love with Angel Dust, the charismatic and colorful character she couldn't imagine her life without.
Her father's new job offer had come unexpectedly, dangling a tempting promotion that promised stability and growth for their family. Y/n understood the importance of this opportunity, but it didn't make saying goodbye any easier. She dreaded breaking the news to Angel Dust, unsure of how he would take it.
That evening, Y/n nervously dialed Angel's number, her heart sinking as his cheerful voice greeted her on the other end. "Hey babe, what's up?" he chirped.
"Hey, Angel," Y/n replied, her voice betraying the melancholy she couldn't hide. "Can we talk? It's important."
There was a pause, and then Angel's tone softened. "Of course, sweetheart. What's on your mind?"
Y/n took a deep breath, her eyes welling up with tears she had been holding back all day. "My dad got a new job... in another city. We have to move again."
Silence followed on the line, broken only by Angel's sharp intake of breath. "Oh, Y/n...," he finally murmured, his voice laden with disappointment. "When?"
"Next month," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't want to leave without telling you."
Angel sighed heavily. "Damn it... I knew something was bothering you today. I just... I can't believe this."
Tears streamed down Y/n's cheeks now, her heart aching at the thought of leaving behind everything she had grown to love, especially Angel Dust. "I'm so sorry, Angel. I didn't want to go. But my dad..."
Angel interrupted gently, "It's not your fault, babe. I get it, I really do. It just sucks, you know? We finally found each other and now..."
Y/n nodded, even though he couldn't see her. "I know. I don't know what to do."
"We'll figure it out," Angel said firmly, though Y/n could hear the sadness in his voice. "I'm not letting you go that easily. We'll make it work somehow."
Y/n sniffled, feeling a glimmer of hope amidst the despair. "Promise?"
"Promise," Angel affirmed. "We'll make every moment count until you have to go. And after that... we'll figure it out. Long distance, visits, whatever it takes."
Y/n managed a weak smile, grateful beyond words for Angel's unwavering support. "Thank you, Angel. I love you."
"I love you too, Y/n," Angel replied softly. "More than you'll ever know."
As they hung up, Y/n felt a mixture of sadness and determination settle in her heart. Moving away from Angel Dust was going to be one of the hardest things she'd ever done, but knowing they were both willing to fight for their love gave her strength to face the uncertain future ahead.
A week later!
As Y/n sat in the backseat of the car, surrounded by boxes filled with her life packed neatly away, tears streamed down her cheeks unchecked. The reality of leaving Angel Dust behind was crushing, a heavy weight on her heart that seemed impossible to bear. She glanced out the window, watching as the familiar streets of her hometown faded into the distance.
Her father, driving silently, glanced at her through the rearview mirror with concern etched on his face. "Hey, Y/n," he began gently, "I know this isn't easy for you. But you know we're doing this for all of us, right? For a better future."
Y/n nodded wordlessly, her throat tight with emotion. She wanted to believe her father's words, to focus on the opportunities ahead, but all she could think about was the emptiness she felt without Angel Dust by her side.
Meanwhile, in another part of town, Angel Dust paced nervously in his apartment. He couldn't shake the feeling of helplessness as he replayed the conversation with Y/n over and over in his mind. He hated seeing her upset, hated the thought of being separated from her even more.
Suddenly, a notification pinged on his phone, drawing his attention. It was a message from Vox, the charismatic media mogul of Hell's entertainment industry, and a business acquaintance of Angel's. Curious, Angel opened the message, his eyes widening as he read Vox's proposal.
"Angel, I heard about your situation with Y/n. I might have a solution for you both. Let's meet."
Heart racing with hope, Angel hastily replied and arranged to meet Vox at his lavish penthouse. Within the hour, Angel found himself standing before Vox, who greeted him with a charming smile.
"Angel, darling, so good to see you," Vox purred, motioning for him to sit down. "Tell me everything."
Angel quickly explained Y/n's impending move and their dilemma. Vox listened attentively, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "I see. Well, lucky for you, I happen to have some influence in your father's industry. I could potentially offer him a position here in Hell."
Angel's eyes widened in disbelief. "You could... really?"
Vox chuckled softly. "Of course, darling. Consider it a favor from one businessman to another. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to have your father's expertise in our city, now would it?"
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Angel struggled to find words. "Thank you, Vox. Thank you so much."
Vox waved a hand dismissively. "Think nothing of it, my dear. Just make sure you and Y/n don't go wandering off again without saying goodbye."
With a heart full of renewed hope, Angel dashed back to his apartment, his mind racing with plans. He called Y/n immediately, his voice trembling with excitement. "Y/n! Hey, listen... I think I might have found a way for us to stay together."
Y/n's voice on the other end was filled with cautious optimism. "What do you mean?"
Angel quickly explained Vox's offer and his father's potential job in Hell. "It's not a done deal yet, but... it could work, Y/n. We could be together."
Y/n gasped, her eyes welling up with tears of relief. "Angel, that's amazing! I... I don't know what to say."
"Just say you'll wait for me," Angel pleaded softly. "I'll do whatever it takes to make this happen."
A smile broke across Y/n's face, her heart swelling with love for Angel. "I'll wait for you, Angel Dust. I promise."
As they hung up, Angel felt a weight lift off his shoulders. He knew there were still challenges ahead, but knowing Y/n was willing to wait for him made every obstacle seem surmountable. With renewed determination, he set out to make sure their love story would have a happy ending, no matter what Hell threw their way.
