"Good morning!" her mother called, smiling as Y/n trudged down the stairs, yawning.

"Morning," Y/n mumbled, grabbing a slice of toast and popping it into the toaster. "Gotta run to college soon."

Her mother stirred the batter. "I invited some exchange students to stay with us for a bit. Thought it'd be good for you to make new friends. You've been... distant lately."

Y/n rolled her eyes. "Seriously, Mom? Who are they?"

"Rumi, Zoey, and Mira," her mother said, checking a form. "They're arriving around seven tonight."

"Great," Y/n said sarcastically, grabbing her coffee. "I'll show them around when I'm back from classes. Love you." She kissed her mother's cheek and headed out, unsure about sharing her space with strangers but too distracted by her studies and the article to care.

After a long day at the academy, Y/n took a walk through a nearby park, the cherry blossoms in full bloom under Seoul's neon skyline. She felt isolated, her social life limited to her demon-hunting crew, and her mother's words about her lack of friends stung. Returning home, she found three girls in the living room—Rumi, with her long purple hair and confident smirk; Zoey, with her soft blue locks and nervous energy; and Mira, with her sharp eyes and cool demeanor.

"Hey," Rumi said, her voice teasing as she leaned against the couch. "You must be Y/n."

Zoey fidgeted, offering a shy wave. "H-hi."

Mira nodded, her gaze assessing. "Nice place."

"Yeah, I'm Y/n," she said, shaking off her fatigue. "Come on, I'll show you your rooms." She led them upstairs, noticing Rumi, Mira and Zoey whispering to each other, their giggles making her curious but too tired to pry. "Rumi, your room's first on the left, Zoey's next, and Mira's after that. Mine's on the right. Don't bother me unless it's important. Dinner's at eight, Mom's out by nine. I crash around nine-thirty, but knock if you need me."

"Thanks, Cupcake," Rumi said, winking.

Zoey blushed, mumbling, "T-thanks."

Mira just nodded, already unpacking. Y/n felt a flush at Rumi's nickname but brushed it off, heading downstairs to chat with her mother, who was thrilled Y/n seemed to like the new arrivals. After a quick glass of water, Y/n said goodnight and retreated to her room, exhaustion winning out.

Weeks passed, and Y/n grew accustomed to the trio's presence. Rumi's bold energy, Zoey's shy warmth, and Mira's quiet intensity filled the apartment with life. Y/n found herself drawn to all three, their demon-hunting camaraderie forging a bond she hadn't expected.

One morning, Zoey knocked on Y/n's door. "Hey, Y/n, me, Rumi and Mira are going to the new amusement fair in Gangnam. Wanna come?"

Rumi appeared, leaning against the doorframe. "Yeah, Cupcake, come on. It'll be fun."
