It was Halloween night, and the streets buzzed with excited trick-or-treaters darting from house to house. On the porch of one particular home sat a large bowl filled with assorted candies, snacks, and a couple of odd items, like an apple and a small box of raisins. The house's owners had left the bowl outside with a note that read, **"Take one!"**, though the contents of the bowl already knew that no one ever followed the rules on Halloween night.

At the bottom of the pile, wedged between a few chocolate bars, a Y/n chocolate bar quivered nervously. She could hear the delighted giggles of children approaching and the sound of wrappers crinkling as hands rifled through the treats.

"W-what if I'm taken next?" she whispered, her voice trembling. The idea of being chosen and then consumed terrified her to her very core.

Next to her, Millie, the feisty little chocolate bar with caramel and nuts, chuckled softly. "Don't worry, Y/n. You'll probably be here a while. I'm always the last one taken." She sighed, a mixture of resignation and acceptance in her voice.

Y/n's fear did little to subside. "But... I don't want to be eaten. Not like this."

Millie's wrapper crinkled as she shifted to comfort her. "Hey, relax. No one ever wants the weird ones like me. Hell, even a box of stale raisins gets taken before I do!"

As if on cue, a hand reached into the bowl, bypassing both Y/n and Millie to grab a brightly wrapped Verosika Crunch bar. The wrapper gleamed under the porch light, its edges fluttering like a banner of victory as it was whisked away. Shortly after, another hand dived in and grabbed a Fizzarolli Taffy, leaving behind the more "boring" treats, like Y/n and Millie.

"See what I mean?" Millie said, rolling her figurative eyes. "No one wants us. They always go for the flashy ones first."

Nearby, a glossy Moxxie apple grumbled, his deep red skin reflecting the dim light. "No one ever takes apples. It's all because of that stupid rumor about razor blades being hidden inside." His voice dripped with frustration, and he sagged slightly in his spot.

Millie tried to cheer him up. "Oh, Moxxie, apples get taken! You just need to get dipped in caramel, and you'd be the star of the show!"

Moxxie's eyes widened in disgust. "Caramel? Are you out of your mind? That stuff's revolting. I'm a pure, healthy treat! No sugar coating needed!"

Before Millie could respond, a shadow fell over the bowl. A large hand reached in, and Angel Dust, in his gleeful excitement, snatched up a shiny pack of Asmodeus Mints. As Angel's fingers brushed against Blitzø, the Blitzø chocolate bar quickly moved aside to avoid being taken. Angel Dust popped the mints into his mouth with a smug grin as he walked away, leaving the bowl with fewer and fewer options.

The night wore on, and one by one, the candies disappeared. By the time the streetlights flickered and the last of the trick-or-treaters had gone home, only Y/n, Blitzø, Millie, Moxxie, and Loona were left. They all sat there, slightly squashed from the night's events, feeling forgotten.

"Well, this is depressing," Loona the chocolate bar muttered. "We're the leftovers. Nobody wants us."

The next morning, the house's owners came out to clear the porch of Halloween decorations. They scooped the remaining candies from the bowl and, instead of throwing them out, placed them on a high shelf in the pantry.

Already sitting on the shelf was a forlorn chocolate Easter bunny, its once-shiny foil now dull and wrinkled from months of neglect. He eyed the newcomers with a mixture of pity and resignation.

"Welcome to the forgotten zone," the bunny said bitterly. "They'll leave you here to rot, just like me. Nobody ever takes us once the holidays are over."

Blitzø, always the one with a wild streak, glanced at the bunny with a mischievous grin. "Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not sticking around to collect dust."

The bunny's eyes widened as Blitzø unwrapped himself just enough to reveal his gooey chocolate insides. "What are you doing?" the bunny asked nervously.

"Getting rid of a nuisance," Blitzø replied, and without a second thought, he leaned forward and bit into the bunny's ear.

"Blitzø! Stop!" Loona bar exclaimed, trying to pull him back, but Blitzø was unfazed.

"Chocolate doesn't feel shit," Blitzø said nonchalantly as he chewed. The bunny's protests turned into muffled whimpers as Blitzø continued to eat him, tearing away chunks of the poor Easter bunny with little remorse.

Seeing Blitzø devour the bunny, Millie and Moxxie hesitated but then joined in, each taking small bites, leaving the bunny with fewer and fewer pieces to complain with. "Millie! Not you too!" Moxxie groaned between bites.

"I'm just doing what needs to be done, Mox," Millie said, trying to justify her actions.

Y/n, still horrified by the scene unfolding in front of her, whispered, "I thought we were supposed to stick together..."

Blitzø finally silenced the bunny by eating the mouth, leaving behind only a few remnants of the foil wrapper. "There. No more whining."

Loona crossed her arms, shaking her head. "You're all sick. Just sick."

But despite the chaos, Blitzø looked satisfied, leaning back with a grin as he patted his now slightly squished wrapper. "Hey, sometimes, you gotta take matters into your own hands. Or... wrappers."

The candies sat in silence after that, a strange sense of peace settling over them. They knew they'd be left on the shelf for a while, forgotten like the bunny had said. But at least now, they didn't have to listen to him complain about it.

And as the days passed, they stayed together, slowly coming to terms with their fate.
