Y/n had always been perceptive, the one who noticed the subtleties others overlooked. When Adrien began acting differently after a heated discussion about the growing tensions between the East and West, she was the first to pick up on it. His usual calm and collected demeanor had taken a sharp turn. He seemed distracted, more withdrawn, and there were moments when his gaze grew distant, as if wrestling with something deeply troubling.

At first, Y/n chalked it up to stress. Adrien was, after all, the son of a powerful fashion mogul, constantly under pressure. But as days passed, his behavior grew increasingly erratic. He would zone out during their conversations, and his once warm smile became more and more rare. Y/n couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong.

One afternoon, while they were sitting together in the Agreste mansion's grand library, Y/n decided she couldn't keep quiet any longer.

"Adrien," Y/n began carefully, her voice soft but firm. "Have you noticed anything... off lately? You've seemed really distant."

Adrien looked up from the book he hadn't really been reading, his green eyes clouded with worry. "I'm fine, Y/n. Just a lot on my mind, I guess."

Y/n frowned. "I don't think it's just that. You've been acting strange ever since that meeting your father held about the upcoming diplomatic events. I know you're under a lot of pressure, but it feels like there's more to it."

Adrien sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's just... my father. He's been pushing me to take a more active role in the family business, especially with everything going on. He wants me to make a speech at the peace talks, but... I don't know if I'm the right person for it."

Y/n's heart ached for him. "Adrien, you know you can talk to me about anything. But if you're not comfortable doing what he's asking, you shouldn't have to. You need to do what feels right for you."

Adrien nodded, though he didn't seem entirely convinced. "I know. It's just... complicated. My father has his expectations, and with all these tensions, I feel like I have to do something."

Y/n reached out, placing a hand on his arm. "You don't have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. You've always been true to yourself, and that's what makes you who you are. Don't let anyone, not even your father, force you into something that doesn't align with your values."

Adrien smiled faintly, appreciating her words. "Thank you, Y/n. It's just hard, you know? Sometimes I feel like I'm caught between two worlds, and I don't know how to bridge the gap."

Before Y/n could respond, the sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway. Lila Rossi appeared in the doorway, her usual smirk plastered on her face.

"Adrien," Lila purred, "I heard you're giving a speech at the peace talks. How noble of you, standing up for unity in such divided times."

Adrien stiffened, clearly uncomfortable. "It's not decided yet, Lila."
