"Come on Yugo, hurry the hell up!" a voice called out from the street ahead. "We're going to be late!"

"Why are you rushing me, you're the reason we're late you know!" A voice called back with an annoyed tone.

"Well it doesn't matter why we're late, just that we are, so move faster!" The feminine voice said matter-of-factly.

'Geez, how does Mimi expect me to catch up with legs like mine?' were your thoughts as you finally caught up to her, Mimitaka Hikisaku, as she had stopped at the foot of the steps of the train station you were trying to get to.

You looked at the girl, or rather looked up at her, as she was far taller than you. This wasn't helped by the fact that you are actually pretty short for your age, leaving a huge height difference between you two.

Forget just being short, you were also incredibly small. You couldn't blame anyone for thinking that you were a child. Well, technically you were, but that wasn't the point.

If anything, it bordered on unhealthy.

In contrast, Hikisaku looked down at you, her cold silver eyes peering into yours, with her blonde-silver framing her focused resting face.

'Judging by how Mimi is looking at me, I feel like she wants to insult m-'

"Did you really have to come wearing that, Yugo?" she judged, with a hint of second hand embarrassment in her voice.

You couldn't help but just sigh at her remark.

"Well, it's an entrance exam, Mimi. I don't really expect for anyone to be paying any attention to me. Besides, I probably won't be seeing most of those people ever again. U.A. can't accept all of us."

U.A. of course refers to U.A. High School, the most prestigious hero school in all of Japan.

Becoming a hero was something that Hikisaku aspired to be for so long, as she has graciously told you for so many years. With her quirk, you didn't doubt that she would get accepted in a heartbeat.

You had your doubts about yourself, however.

Hikisaku's monotone voice snapped you out of your thoughts.

"Yeah, well I don't think that's a good excuse for whatever you think you're trying to do with that outfit. Come on, let's just get on the next train there, I want to get back home already."

With that she walked up the steps with the quickness only long legs could achieve.

'We've only been outside for like...' you thought as you pulled out your phone to check the time.

'...15 minutes. Oh well.'

Despite how much she seemed to despise being outside, Hikisaku usually dressed incredibly well whenever she left the house. That's a bit presumptuous, a better word for her sense of fashion would be unique.

The coat she was wearing was bedazzled. Sure, the sparkles blended in with the coats beige color, but it was incredibly noticeable. She wasn't worried about the weather apparently, as the coat wasn't completely closed, revealing her tank top underneath.

Note, that Hikisaku usually dresses well. Here, it didn't seem like she cared, half because she didn't want to be up this early, and half because she didn't want to bother with changing. As such, she was wearing sweatpants that were a bit too tight.

'She's always buying crap she doesn't need. You'd think, with how important exercising is to her, she'd have better clothing for it.' You thought.

'Actually, she doesn't even bother with training clothes. It's either what she's wearing, or barely anything at all.' You thought a little harder.

You simply scratched the back of your head, and followed her into the next train that arrived, bound for U.A.

---------------------------------------------------------

The gates of U.A. stood shining over the two of you as you both approached, making you feel smaller as you passed through it. You began to realize just how many people there were, so many people who wanted the same thing that Hikisaku did.

You turned to look at her, as she simply looked out at all the buildings that made up the school.

Her eyes showed no signs of being intimidated, and she stepped forward without a second thought, funneling into the same building everyone else did.

You stood there for all that time, a faint smile on your thin face. Then, you traced her steps inside.

---------------------------------------------------------

You took a seat next to Hikisaku in what seemed to be an auditorium, as the Pro Hero, Present Mike, informed you all about the practical exam portion of the entrance exam. Listening to it all, you couldn't help but begin to worry.

'Just how the hell am I supposed to take down enough robots to pass with my quirk? There's no way I could pull something like that off...' you thought as you turned to Hikisaku, who gave a small nod to you.

After Present Mike was finished, the two of you went your separate ways, as you both were assigned to different battle arenas. You got ready, and piled at the door to the entrance of the arena along with everyone else.

'10 minutes, huh? I need a miracle if I want to pass this thing then.'

Proofreader: This shit is so basic.

Author: Huh? You can't just say that, it's the first chapter.

Proofreader: Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't give my honest opinion, and it's that this is so ass.

Author: Well I said in the beginning that I have my own story to write, but I have the first seasons as a crutch.

Proofreader: Oh yeah? Why don't you just skip to it then?

Author: Well, I still need all this to set up the plot and the characters, so bear with me. Why are you even telling me all this, I just wanted you to read through it, not tell me you think it's bad.

Proofreader: I will be calling you out on all the dumb shit the entire story, too bad.
