Psycher quietly walked the empty corridor of the Kyoshin agency. It was nighttime, the only time the entire place was even remotely calm, since practically no one was in.

He was among the few heroes that worked at the agency that were still around at this time. Not even that, he was on an even shorter list of people that lived here.

It was an unspoken rule that the meditation room was his, much to the displeasure of some of the other heroes. Not only did he sleep in there at night, but he spent the entire day using it.

Well, he had to take a break from it sometimes. That's where his daily walk throughout the agency came in. Considering how massive the building is, a walk around it would be a fine hour spent.

Psycher was making his way towards the stairs to the second floor of the eastern building when he heard voices from above. From how quiet the rest of the building was, Psycher ended up involuntarily listening in to the conversation.

At least for a bit, as after hearing what the voices were discussing, he stopped at the bottom of the stairs to listen closely.

".....he's really gone over the deep end if that's the case." One of the voices said.

"I don't think so. Just because nothing major ever happens around here, doesn't mean that it never will." Another voice said back.

'These voices, they're Katagiri and Lexis.' Psycher thought to himself.

"Well, it just seems really far-fetched to me. I mean, those ruins are a few hundred years old, the only people that would be there are tourists." Katagiri said.

"And that's weird isn't it? A few hundred years wasn't too long ago, and the architecture of those ruins doesn't make sense. They're..... something." Lexis made clear.

'What are they talking about? The ruins outside of the city? What's happening there?'

"It doesn't feel right that you're lecturing me about Japanese history. But yeah, those things have always felt strange. I just don't like the fact that we're going in alone." Katagiri complained.

"Alone? You have no way of knowing how many people have been called to this. I can guarantee you that this city has a few dozen of us around.
The only reason we know about each other is because we've been on a couple assignments together. You never know who to expect at these things." Lexis lectured.

"Ah, I guess your right. I should've guessed that when I first saw you at one of these.
Alright, do you remember when he said it was? He's really big on details, and they just churned around in my head." Katagiri asked.

"Are you serious? How did you figure out where to go before?
Five days from now, midnight. Surely you'll be able to remember that." Lexis insulted as plainly as possible.

"I will, I will. Don't patronize me like that. Come on, haven't you had enough smokes already?" Katagiri asked.

"No. I thought the Japanese were big on smoking? There isn't anything else for you to.....indulge in this country." Lexis said, as his voice grew more distant.

"Well yeah, but not enough to spend an hour standing around. How many have you had?" Katagiri asked with curiosity, his voice almost drowned out by his steps.
