The next morning you set off to your training spot again. Hikisaku walked alongside you, and you two spoke with each other casually.
"I was thinking of moving the baseball machine over where your spot is. If you were really that mad that I didn't tell you about how I knocked myself out, then maybe being there to actually see it is better."
"You're not actually going to try and get yourself knocked out are you? We're supposed to be training here Yugo, not goofing off."
"Well, Kaminari and Mineta get to goof off."
"I don't care what they do, you're supposed to be better than them!"
She started to poke you in the forehead repeatedly, as if she was trying to physically push that thought into your head.
"Hey! Are you saying that I wasn't as good as those two already?"
Hikisaku didn't comment, and you didn't exactly know how to respond to her silence. You looked down in disappointment, as her hand followed you to keep poking your forehead.
She then hit you with her whole palm, pushing your head back up to look at her, and the small smile on her face.
"Alright. Let's go get the machine then. Can ya carry it? Don't answer, I'm going to do it anyways. It should be a good workout."
You scratched the back of your head, and you gave her your embarrassed smile, before turning around to keep walking. When you did, you paused to give a smile to someone outside of Hikisaku's view. Hikisaku quickly moved to your side so that the two of you could continue chatting away.
Uraraka was watching the whole thing. In fact, she was the one who you smiled at. She was, at the very least, incredibly confused by what she just saw.
'How do those two do it? They were practically killing each other yesterday. There was so much force behind Hikisaku's attacks at the end..... How can they just be walking along like that, smiling like nothing happened?'
'Does fighting like that really calm Hikisaku down? She sure looked a lot better, a lot happier than she looked yesterday. L/N.....are you really okay with doing that?'
---------------------------------------------------------
Hikisaku walked into the clearing with the tree she had scorched, the baseball machine slung over her shoulder, as she balanced it with one arm.
She found it a bit too heavy at first, so you removed all the rocks from the machine and carried them yourself.
You had fused them together, just enough for each to slightly intersect into each other, making a weird rock helix that you carried with both hands.
Kirishima from his spot, watched on with great interest at Hikisaku, as she set down the machine with so much force that its stands were slightly buried in the ground.
'So manly!'
"Mimi! Don't break the thing! What was the point of bringing it over here if you're just going to wreck it?"
"What's the big deal? You can just fix it, can't you?"
"If I knew how everything fit together, then maybe at best! It's not like I go around and take apart everything I see first to figure out how to fix it in case it breaks!"
