Aizawa had given the four missing heroes an impossibly small window to reappear, most likely by design. As soon as Aizawa's morning class the next day was scheduled to end, he abruptly cut his lesson short to leave.
If the class had to guess, he would not be showing up for his time at the end of the day.
In contrast to Aizawa's impatient demeanor, the teachers weren't as distressed as they had been the day before. Whatever difficulty they had teaching yesterday didn't subside, however.
This was largely thanks to Hikisaku, who frequently tried to escape class to aid in the investigation in Maigedo.
"You mean search on your own. I'm not putting any more students at risk Hikisaku. Don't even try it." Was Aizawa's response to Hikisaku's proclamation last night, immediately after he told the class about the missing heroes.
Well, clearly, she had been trying it. She only started after Aizawa left, to reduce her chances of ending up getting the same punishment you did after defying Aizawa.
Too bad she was far too large, and far too close to the front of the class to be successful. And even if she wasn't, half of their teachers seemed to have heightened senses when it came to slight disturbances.
As heroes, it was a skill that they needed to have, or else they wouldn't be standing in front of her.
Hikisaku eventually gave up, or more accurately, postponed her attempts at leaving during All Might's class. He was much more forthcoming with things that he shouldn't be talking about, and this was her avenue to learn something about what was going on.
Simply asking him about it was enough to get All Might to talk. His lips were dangerously loose for someone who used to be the number one pro hero. Though, he didn't have too much to say. Of note, anyway.
"I don't know. Aizawa has a habit of not telling me about these things, even if they are this serious. It's not a fault of his own, he just gets too deep into it where he forgets to say anything."
"Though, if he had any good news, he would definitely have said something by now." All Might reasoned, and it was very hard to find a fault in that claim. Surely, Class 1A would feel worse if they were being told you were gone every five minutes.
They didn't need a reminder, and a select few didn't want them. A majority of the class was preoccupied by the situation a great deal.
"Hm....." Hikisaku let out in obvious frustration.
"Are you sure it's not also because he doesn't want to tell you anything, so that you don't go blabbing about it to us?" Jiro called him out.
"Well, I didn't want to say it, but....."
What proceeded was a lengthy, and deservedly so, conversation about Aizawa's prickliness. It was good way for them to vent all of the emotion of the last two days, and they all took their opportunity to do so, Hikisaku included.
She was more reserved about it than you'd expect, considering how little she cared for their homeroom teacher. It wasn't exactly a secret to anyone, especially to All Might. She treated him like she treated her own mother, which is a phrase hardly ever used negatively.
