Quite the Quirk

In a flash, Hikisaku appeared at the bottom of the center structure. The bright burst of light alerted Kendo, Tokage, Hagakure, and Kirishima, who had just resumed their fight.

They all stopped to look over at Hikisaku, who ominously stared back at them. Then, two people stared back at them as you unfused with her.

"Hah.....Hah.....Do you always have to do that? Just beat them, Mimi...Hah....." You struggled to say, as fatigue set in from overusing your quirk.

"Oi! Oi! It isn't often that we get to fuse. I might as well draw it out as long as I can." She responded smugly.

You just shook your head, as you were unable to get enough breath to be sassy back.

"It looks like it's just the two of us left Tokage. Let's make this count. If we're going down, we're going down swinging!" Kendo inspired Tokage.

"Right!" Was Tokage's response, as every piece of her body bounced in excitement.

"Hah.....Hold on." You said, and that's all you said for a while.

It took some time for you to catch your breath before you continued. You could tell that everyone was getting impatient. To lighten the mood, you breathed out loudly.

"Sorry. You guys are going to have another one of these battles later right?"

"I don't want to trouble you guys by forcing you to go all out, so what if I fuse the four of you? That way, the only person who'll get exhausted is me." You offered the others.

"Eh? Can you really do that?" Kendo asked.

"Should you? What happens if you do that, and we lose?" Hagakure asked.

"What are you talking about, lose? That isn't going to happen if we fuse Hagakure-san!" Kirishima said passionately.

"If that happens, then the three of us will go down. It'll be Mimi left to take on Tokage and Kendo, a lot better odds, wouldn't you say?" You turned to the two of them.

"I don't really know what you're getting at, but I'm up for testing this fusion thing out." Tokage said, her body hopping around again.

"Yes L/N-san, why are you doing this? I understand you being compassionate, but are you really doing it at the risk of losing?" Kendo was unconvinced.

"Yup. Winning is nice, but it doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure I'm supposed to be taking this seriously, but I've had enough of doing that for a while."

"Let's just have fun, yeah?" You said happily, a smile appearing on your face.

The four of them, and Hikisaku, turned to focus on you. They were slightly puzzled by your expression, but only for a moment. Then, they too smiled, and all gave you nods of understanding.

"You guys can take your next matches seriously. And at mostly full strength to boot." You reassured them.

"Alright, let's get this started then." You added.

Hagakure walked off to Kirishima's left, near you, so that you could bring her costume back out. Tokage reformed opposite of Hagakure, to Kendo's right.
