Instead, you decided to run back towards the flight of stairs you had come down from, and they followed in pursuit.

You stopped ahead in the stairwell, hoping to catch them in a surprise attack, but their jack rounded the corner instead, shooting out small bolts of electricity. You let out a small "ow," and you suddenly felt vibrations from the wall to your right.

They had been listening in, and suddenly sprung out from the corner, a fist flying right at where you stood.

There was no way you could avoid it, and you turned to start running again when the punch landed.... except, that it went right through body, and came out of your stomach.

"What the?" They sounded audibly confused, and with that one moment you were able to get out of punching distance.

'No way they fall for that again.'

For a split second, you heard what you thought was the crackle of electricity before you felt your entire body shut down, you were being electrocuted with realizing it, since you couldn't feel a thing.

You fell to the floor, and you didn't feel the impact at all. In the middle of the room, you think you began to wiggle your finger, but you really couldn't tell without any feeling.

Your feeling came back just as you felt someone grabbing a hold of your wrist, and you panicked, using your quirk in the process. The feeling was gone, and you managed to get back on your feet and looked around, realizing that they were also gone.

You looked around the room quickly, confused. Then you felt your body being drained of energy quickly.

'Damn, did I accidentally fused them through the floor? They must be pretty far down then, because this is starting to hurt.'

You then began to hear heavy footsteps, as if someone was not just running, but running angrily.

You knew that sound pretty well. Finally getting back to your senses, except for your smell, oddly enough, you began to run the opposite direction, hoping that they decided to continue chasing you instead of looking for Kirishima and the weapon.

As you reached the stairwell, they fully came up the one on the opposite end of the room, and you felt the current of electricity under the soles of your boots, they had fired a blast and missed you.

They chased around the building, and luckily for you, they stuck real close to you the entire time, letting you save your strength for running.

Of course that also meant you had to keep dodging bolts of electricity and the jabs of their jacks as they extended towards you.

The comms you used were fried so there was no way to contact Kirishima as you reached the floor below him, hopefully the loud sounds of the chase would alert him.

'I can't keep this up anymore.' You thought as you left the stairway and began the sprint to the stairs to get to the next floor.

You were absolutely spent, and you just pushed yourself forward, as you repeatedly hit either a wall or the glass window with your whole body. A bolt of electricity hit a window right as you were about to bounce off it, shattering it.

You threw your arms forward, hoping to touch the next glass pane so that you could direct yourself towards the stairs. You fell down at the foot of the steps, and began to crawl up them quickly, scurrying up like you were a rat trying to get away from a mouse.

You thought you heard the fusion reach the opening, still in full sprint, and you ended the fusion right then and there. You heard two thuds, one as Kaminari hit the wall and the other when Jiro kept running down the hallway next to the stairs and tripped over.
