Unbelievably injured, nearly exhausted of energy, and at extreme risk of burning out were all things that Hikisaku was not concerned about at the moment.
There was no time to rest, or more accurately, she wouldn't allow herself to. Psycher had to still be in the city. Only five minutes had passed since he fled, using his pawns to keep the class occupied. Surely, her classmates that chased after him could hold him off for that long as well.
Oh, right. Her classmates. They were another reason that she couldn't afford to take a break, she figured.
'Yugo won't appreciate if I bring them back to an empty dorm.'
.....
'I also don't need Yaomomo on my ass for leaving this.....whatever this is, behind.' She peered down at the woman sprawled out in front of her.
Hikisaku doubted she was dead, but the way her limbs were strewn awkwardly on the ground made her look like a corpse that had been thrown out of a car after an accident. Her raised knee blocked her view of the woman's head, so she had no idea the extent of the damage she inflicted on her.
The woman's position could easily be attributed to paralysis, now that Hikisaku thought about it. The double whammy she inflicted on her must've done more damage than knock her unconscious.
Either way, she was currently a large, limp, piece of deadweight. That was all Hikisaku saw her as, and she dreaded having to take the body with her as she lifted herself up to her both feet from a push of a single hand against the roof.
Slowly, to offset pain she knew she was about to experience, she bent down to reach for the woman. Wrapping her arms around her stomach, she power lifted the body up onto her shoulder for support that she desperately needed.
Slinging the woman over both shoulders to balance out her weight, Hikisaku reconsidered whether it was worth carrying her. Letting out an exhausted, and possibly angry, sigh, she spun around to face the same direction Midoriya flew off in.
She didn't like it, but she made her decision.
Gingerly, Hikisaku walked over towards the edge of the roof. She brought her head down to stare at the empty street below for a few seconds.
Then, with what little of her might remained, she raised the woman over her head to toss her as far as she could off the side of the building.
She was only airborne for a moment. With her quirk, Hikisaku dipped down past the woman before shooting back up to tackle her high into the air.
'She survived getting slammed into the ground neck first. Surely, she can handle this.' Was her thought process after slamming into her. And that's because she wasn't finished.
Half a mile above the buildings around them, yet somehow not completely over the entire city, Hikisaku let go of the woman, giving her slightly more speed as she pushed her upward. She was distracted from what she planned to do next by a massive skyscraper to her right.
It was one of those towers whose roof eluded her. A couple dozen more stories separated her from its top, but its size wasn't what interested her. She was more concerned with its direction, the same direction that Psycher took off in.
