"Really Jiro, I think you should have me up there with you! Think of the duet we could be!" You said to Jiro, trying to convince her to let you get a bigger role in the school festival.
The biggest role, actually.
"What? Do you even sing L/N? No, no. Can you?" Jiro doubted you, which she often did. To everyone actually.
"Huh? Don't you remember seeing that karaoke machine in my room? Of course I can sing! Take a listen."
You cleared your throat for an obnoxiously long time. From the sound of it, you probably should've done it a long time ago.
You let out one last small sound from your throat before you started to tune your voice. Jiro was about to say something when you finally began to sing.
"GO GO READY-"
"NO!"
Hikisaku suddenly ran up to you and slapped you in the back, driving all the air out of your lungs.
It also sent you crashing to the ground, chest first.
"We're not doing that Yugo! Jiro's great on her own, she doesn't need you making you both sound like asses!" Hikisaku yelled from far above you.
With a lot of effort, you stood back up.
"It was just a suggestion. You didn't have to make such a big deal out of it Mimi!" You whined.
"Is it really that bad?" Jiro whispered to Hikisaku, referring to your singing.
"Well, it's not that. I just don't think the type of music they like meshes well with what you're planning." Hikisaku said loud enough for you to hear.
"Of course you'd know about stuff like that Mimi. Since you're so musically inclined, or something."
You tried to use smart words to make fun of her, but it didn't come out the way you wanted it to.
Instead, Jiro seemed interested in hearing more about that.
"Hm? What music do you listen to Hikisaku?"
You answered for her.
"Indie music. From America. I swear, it sounds like I threw a bunch of words together, but I'm right."
"How do you even get into that?" Someone said from down the hall.
"Do you even understand it?" Someone else asked from the living room.
"Yugo specified indie music. It's a lot more unique than the music that is usually produced in America.
The types of sounds they use, the lyrics, I just find it all intriguing." Hikisaku said, in an unusually elegant tone.
"Could you idiots stop standing around and come down to help set everything up?" Bakugo said angrily. as he bumped into Hikisaku.
The he handed you something that you couldn't possibly carry. You slowly sagged downward until you fell to the ground along with whatever was in your hands.
Hikisaku bent down to help you, but continued to look up at Bakugo. To yell back at him, obviously.
"Jackass! You're acting like you've been doing shit this entire time!
This is the first time your lazy ass has even gone down there today!"
