"What's that all about?" You asked Koda, without expecting an answer.

"I'm not sure, but I think it's for the best if we listen to him."

"You're right. How long will it take to get back to the lodge though? We've been walking around for a while now..... Do you remember the way back?"

"No, but if we can find a clearing, we should be able to figure it out from there."

"Alright, let's go. I'll lead." You said authoritatively, and Koda didn't object.

You began to run and Koda followed, but all around you, you two heard faint sounds. You couldn't pinpoint any of them, but all together it sounded like a crisis was going on, with all sorts of quirks being used.

You were sure you recognized a few of them, and you were tempted to go and see if you could help, but your focus right now was getting Koda back to the camp unharmed.

You rushed through the forest, the sound of the leaves being crushed under your feet and the air passing over your ears didn't stop you from hearing the rustling sound that followed you and Koda.

You stopped in your tracks, and Koda did as well. You surveyed around to try and find the source of the sound, when you turned to look at Koda, who was focused on a specific bush to your right.

You reached out to Koda's arm, pulling him back as you advanced on the bush.

You were a couple feet from the bush when suddenly, a large man burst out from the bush, swinging baseball bats around wildly in front of him.

You rolled backwards, quickly getting back to your feet right next to Koda. You weren't together for long, as the villain swung his bats out at both of you, forcing you and Koda to jump back to avoid them.

The villain began to defensively swing the baseball bat in his left hand around to keep Koda away as he started to come at you.

Seeing that you were the smaller one, he figured that it would be easier if he got you out of the way first.

He swung his bat down at you, and you threw your arm in front of you to defend yourself.
The villain smiled at that, and he seemed to put even more force into his swing.

You used your quirk to redirect his baseball bat down onto the ring on your finger, completely stopping the momentum. The thing was, the villain's smile widened right as the bat connected, and you were about to know why.

You felt it for a single moment, as the baseball bat grew unbelievably heavy, breaking your arm in the process.

The bat was allowed to hit the floor, causing a noticeable tremor, after your arm dangled under your elbow out of the bat's path.

You wanted to scream, but you instead used your quirk to quickly fix your arm as best as you could in the split second you had to dodge the bat as it came swinging at your head.

Witnessing what happened to you, Koda sprung into action and charged at the villain.

The villain immediately spun around and shifted his position, a baseball bat was now spinning in front of you as another came crashing down on Koda.
