A good night's rest would not come to Hikisaku. She managed to fall back asleep after her episode, but she was awoken by Aizawa only a couple hours afterward. As previously mentioned, the fastest method of transportation, the trains, would take two hours to get to Musutafu from Dantooin.
Despite the fact she should most definitely stay in the hospital a while longer, Aizawa wanted to rush back to U.A. before class started. She still needed to learn, he had told her, and his reasoning for pulling her out of the hospital prematurely?
"Recovery Girl can easily take care of this."
Well, he makes a great point. Hikisaku's injuries bordered on severe, but again, she didn't seem to be affected by them. The most that she felt was an irritating sensation whenever something pressed against the many places she was charred.
Which just so happened to prevent her from sleeping on a train that was mostly empty.
What a cruel world she lived in.
Upon arriving at U.A. (where she was promptly escorted to Heights Alliance by Aizawa to make sure she actually went there) she face planted into her couch as soon as possible, despite there being less than an hour before class started.
The few of her classmates that were out and about at that time, one could easily guess who, she ignored. All she wanted was the comfort of sleep, no matter how little of it she could get.
'Now I know why Aizawa.....' Was all she could think up before her mind drifted off into unconsciousness.
For about thirty minutes.
A girl like Hikisaku needed all the time she could get to prepare herself, especially considering the state she was in. Her hair was a mess, her heat resistant hero costume was unscathed, but her body was covered in burns underneath, and she was covered in a thin layer of dirt from the cloud of dust the explosions created.
About twenty minutes wasn't really enough time to be doing all these things effectively, but she did them.
The quickest shower in the history of all recorded time, the fastest she's ever given up trying to do her own hair before she begrudgingly asked Yaoyorozu for help, and an incredibly sad breakfast of whatever she could pull out of the pantry.
Never put yourself in a position where you're both tired and in a rush. Adding on stress when you're already stressed out isn't healthy. People will understand if you look like shit if something important came up out of the blue.
.....
If that resonated with you, just know that it would not have worked on Hikisaku. She hardly cared what other people thought of her, but she has a particular image that she's keen on keeping. It's something that she likes doing, and you can't change that.
On her way to class, in the classroom, and in just about every other area of the school, her classmates tried to pry information out of her endlessly. They, aside from Uraraka, did not realize she had disappeared until she stumbled out of the elevator earlier.
They should've realized by now that annoying her while she was clearly not in a good mood wasn't the brightest idea. Or, that's what they should've expected from her.
