--------------------------------------------------------

It was something you've experienced time and time again. Wait, that implied that you were in a state in which you could actually observe what was happening to you. At most, you felt its harrowing effects on your body after recovering. The numbness of your body as it neared the process of atrophy tipped you off that you had overused your quirk.

Could you really say that you were in a fight if you didn't come out of it unconscious to the point where you essentially time traveled days at a time? It was synonymous with you at this point.

What deviated from the norm was the place that you woke up in. Worse than any prison cell you've ever seen, it was just large enough to fit the futon you were sitting on. It was practically trapped here until the end of time, as the fixtures placed near the door would make it impossible to take out.

Luckily, you were not in the same boat. Lifting the slab of wood bolted into the wall that you assumed was a table (a normal person could have just walked over it), you attempted to open the door. Possibly due to neglect, the doorknob decided to end it all then and there.

The sound of the knob on the outside clattering onto the ground lured you into a false sense of security, as the other end was loose in your hand. It fell as soon as you let go, crashing onto your bare left foot. The deep inhale that followed was not so much you trying to suppress the urge to yell as it was you contemplating whether to crawl back into bed or not.

Deciding it was for the best to uncover what happened during your hibernation, you limped through the door using your quirk. A pair of slippers that matched the aesthetic of the casual clothing someone had put you in awaited you. Meticulously, you healed your foot as it came under the bridge of the footwear.

Currently standing at the end of a hallway that reminded you of the dorms, there were an additional eleven doors in a room that was barely large enough to qualify as one. Compared to the tightly packed doorways on the longer walls, those at the end looked like they may lead to somewhere hospitable, but they were more than likely exits.

Which, yeah. Sleeping on the floor of the adjacent, definitely more spacious rooms was probably better than getting thrown into solitary confinement.

Unsure of which door was an exit, your laziness prompted you to try the one a few steps to your right. Before you could even raise a leg, a door one room down on the opposite wall opened, where a cane peeked out to tell you that its occupant was Face-Off.

His head sticking out to look up and down the hallway in search of whatever had disturbed his rest (the walls must not have been thick if he heard the knob fall), he discovered you were awake. Stepping out of his bedroom proper, he revealed himself to be wearing a carbon copy of the nightgown Ebenezer Scrooge wore when the ghosts took him. Of course, the stylish cap was replaced by a hood.

Not wanting to spend the minute it would take for him to trek the four meters between you two, you closed the gap in that many seconds. A long stride wasn't something you necessarily had either.

"It seems you've awoken. I don't think I've ever used that word before." Face-Off stated the obvious, before questioning if he was.

He was wearing a new mask, but it was a carbon copy of the previous one. There was no way he didn't purchase them in bulk; not out of convenience, but because he wanted to save cash.

"How long was I out this time?" It was naturally for you to ask the question in that way, but there was no way he would've understood how often this happened to you.

"Five days." He answered simply, making him sound more heartless than he intended. Well, if you had indeed been out that long, the likelihood Mimitaka made that same joke, and subsequently needed to explain it to him, was pretty high.
