---------------------------------------------------------

You and Hikisaku continued to stand in front of the stairwell, looking out at the city in front of you.

The fact that it was down here was unbelievable. The buildings that made up this city however, weren't all that impressive. In fact, you couldn't even be sure they could be called buildings.

The homes in the industrial district of Coreleah, the ghetto, may not have been maintained, but they were structurally sound cement buildings.

The "homes" in front of you actually appeared as if they were thrown together. The walls and roofs were just sheets of wood and metal. Shacks would be too good of a thing to call them.

Worse yet, they weren't built too well. Some of the buildings clearly had gaps in them, as the light from inside flooded out from numerous cracks.

The intentional openings were meant to be windows, but there wasn't any glass there. Curtains were the only thing that prevented you from looking at the inside of the buildings.

The two of you began to walk down the street ahead of you. Every building was distinct, but that shoddy appearance was still on most of them. The ominous light that poured out of the buildings was all the light to be found down here.

There wasn't any sign of electric lights anywhere, or electricity at all. You figured the orange light from the homes was from fires that were lit within. Their constant flickering seemed to give them away.

As such, there was a clear cloud of smog that prevented you from seeing too high. To top it off, you could barely the pollution from the lack of light above.

You suddenly came to a stop. Hikisaku did the same, after walking a few steps ahead of you.

"Yugo?" She called out to you.

"Mimi, stay here." You said, looking down at the ground to avoid her gaze.

Sure enough, she frowned at hearing that.

"What? Didn't we talk about this already? There's no reason that we shouldn't confront him together! You brought me all the way down here, just to tell me to fuck off?
I'm not accepting that. Yugo!" She yelled out, believing that you weren't listening to her.

You were. You brought your head up, and met her eyes. She saw the seriousness in your face, and she faltered a bit from your stare.

"Mimi, we won't be able to confront him. He knows he can't beat you."

"What?"

"He won't reveal yourself until you're no longer a factor. He didn't bring us here just for me. Tanahashi brought us here, hoping to kill you first."

Hikisaku just stared at you. In her head, she processed what you said.

'T—They're right. When we first encountered Tanahashi, at the airport, he fired at Yugo. At first, we just thought it was him sending a message, but what if he did it to see what we were capable of?'

'Tanahashi saw it then. My quirk, and how I was able to get us away in the blink of an eye. Along with the missiles he fired at us. He was able to see both our offensive and defensive abilities.'
