You stared up at the ceiling of the infirmary, the lights above burning into your retinas as you continued to look up, without blinking. You hurt all over, which shouldn't really surprise you, since you seem to recall passing out from the electricity briefly.
Or maybe it was the fact that you took in the entire supply of electricity that kept the battle arenas running, and the lights went out for that short time instead.
You thought that you heard a voice, and you decided to turn your head to follow where it was coming from.
"Are you okay dear?" questioned a very small woman standing next to the bed you laid in.
"Hey, don't I know you from somewhere?" you questioned back to her.
You didn't even give her a chance to respond when the answer came to you, "Wait a minute, you're Recovery Girl! You're easily in my top 3 heroes. You kind of remind me of my mom, short and sweet."
"Oh? You must have got both of those things from your mother then." she said, referring to your short height.
You could only really help but chuckle at that.
"See you'd think that at first glance, but I didn't. I wished I had, though."
She smiled at that, and you couldn't help but smile back.
"May I?" she asked, referring to her quirk so that she could heal you.
"Of course."
With that she promptly kissed you on the cheek, and you could feel your body begin to soothe.
Well for a few seconds anyway, as shortly after you began to pant quickly, your body trembling from the contact. Recovery Girl stopped her healing upon noticing this, and she looked you confused.
"That's strange, could you really be that exhausted?"
"Oh, your quirk uses my stamina to heal me right? Well unfortunately, my quirk drains me very easily. It's too much power for my body to handle, so all I really get is a few minutes of actively using it." you explained to her.
She looked at you worryingly.
"Well, I can't just let you leave all charred up like that, at least let me wrap you in bandages before you go."
You nodded at her request, and a few minutes later you covered from head to toe with bandages.
'I think this is a bit much, but I'll let her off just because of how nice she is.'
As you got up off the bed, the door of the infirmary opened, and in walked Hikisaku, except, she looked noticeably different. Her hair had blackened, and her fair skin had darkened, the only thing that let you know it was her was the silver eyes she used to make eye contact with you.
And of course, the fact that you've seen her like this many times before.
"I thought I'd find you here Yugo. I mean, where else would you be if not here." she said plainly.
"Mimi, you burnt out?" you questioned her state, surprised that she was even in it in the first place.
She gave a slight smile,"Yeah, I may have gone a little overboard in the exam."
You just shook your head at that, 'A little?'
"I think we're done here, we should head back home Yugo." She said, pointing towards the open door behind her with her thumb.
You let out a tired sigh, you really didn't want to do anything right now, but you couldn't just stay here,
"Alright, lead the way then, I don't remember how I got here."
So the two of you left back towards the train station that you had used to reach U.A. The ride home was mostly silent, as you were pretty tired from overusing your quirk, and Hikisaku wasn't a very talkative person anyway.
The walk home however was a different story.
"Yugo," she started, "How did it go for you in the exam?"
You weren't sure what to say to her, because you were damn sure she wouldn't like what you had to say.
"Uhm, not good Mimi, I knocked myself out of the fight about halfway through, I barely took down enough robots myself."
She didn't respond to that, in fact she didn't say anything else for the rest of the walk home. You didn't even have to look at her to know that she was angry.
That's the one thing that seemed to come to her easily, and if she wasn't angry at or about something, then she was indifferent about it instead. Being a hero was that one thing she was really passionate about, and she wanted you there with her for it.
You felt the same way.
Eventually, you both reached the front of the small apartment building that you called home. It was a less dense part of the city of Musutafu, and there was quite a large piece of empty land adjacent to the building.
Hikisaku bumped into you with her shoulder, and walked towards the lot. You knew where this was going, and you followed her from a distance until she stopped at the other end, and you did the same.
She eventually turned around to look at you, and even with how far apart you two were the scowl on her face was clear.
"Yugo, come at me!"

Proofreader: I'm guessing the next chapter is gonna be one of those "fight" chapters you talked about.
Author: Yup.
Proofreader: Well I think you aren't going to deliver in what you promised.
Author: ...I had a feeling you'd say something like that, even without me saying anything.
