I really haven't had the chance yet to do this, huh? Thank you so much Uraraka-san." you bowed in front of her as the five of you were heading to lunch.

"Huh? Thanks for what?" she asked you, genuinely confused.

You gave her a warm smile,"For saving me of course! I'd be a goner if it hadn't been for you."

"Oh, that? I wasn't about to let anything else happen to a friend. Besides, we were there for rescue training, so I got some good practice in."

She sounded really confident, but that disappeared as soon as Midoriya asked her this.

"Uraraka-san, why do you want to be a hero?" She suddenly grew passive, not like herself at all,"Well, uhm... it's for the money, actually. It might sound selfish, but it's not for me!"

"It's for my parents, the work that they get has really slowed for a long time now, and they really don't have much. I want to make money so that I can give them a better life."

To her surprise, Ida and Midoriya completely understood her reasoning.

"Why would you think it's selfish if it's about your parents? That's a great reason for wanting to be a hero, your not just helping others, but also your own parents." Midoriya said.

"Of course, the more reasons to become a hero, the better! You should take pride in that, not be embarrassed by it." Ida added.

You kept quiet, unusually quiet, you would've been the first person to say something nice about Uraraka, but you just walked along silently.

Ida noticed this, and attempted to get you in on the conversation to comfort Uraraka more, "Don't you also find Uraraka-san's reason to be a hero admirable, L/N-san?"

You stopped suddenly in the middle of the hallway, and the three of them stopped as well.

Hikisaku continued to walk forward for a few seconds before she noticed, and she also came to a stop, she turned her head slightly to look at you from the corner of her eye.

Midoriya, Ida, and Uraraka turned to look at you, and saw that your face turned serious. You looked like you were deep in thought, no, it looked like you were troubled, which wasn't like you either.

"L/N-san?" Uraraka called out to you with a hint of worry in her voice. "Are you-"

"Yes, I'm fine, don't worry!" you said suddenly as you snapped out of it. "...I was just trying to find the right words to say is all." You let out a smile, but it didn't look right to Uraraka at all.

"Uraraka-san, I can understand doing all this hard work to provide for others. I thinks what you're doing is wonderful, you're definitely going to make your parents happy, and proud."

She gave a large smile, and you couldn't help but let out one as well. Hikisaku's eyes lingered on you four for a while, before she turned away to start walking again, and the rest of you followed her lead.

It wasn't long until Midoriya asked you the same thing,"L/N-san, do you mind if I asked why you want to be a hero too?"

And once again, you stopped suddenly in the middle of the hallway, and again, they did as well. Hikisaku this time just continued to walk towards the cafeteria.

"Huh, L/N? What's up now? You don't have to tell us if you don't want to." He clarified.

"No, it's fine Midoriya. I said before that I'm okay with any questions that you ask me. To tell you the truth, the only reason that I'm here is...... because of Mimi." you said lightly, as you turned over to look at her, as she was still walking away.

"Hikisaku-san? Really?" Midoriya couldn't contain his surprise at that.

"When you say,'That I'm here,' do you mean that you only enrolled into U.A. was because of her?" Ida asked you.

"Uh huh." you started with a nod,"Hikisaku might seem all intelligent and powerful to you guys, because that's how she carries herself, but honestly, she's kind of a wreck. She can be really clueless and... difficult at times."

"She kinda needed me to help her out with her application to U.A., actually I did all of it for her. I've been pulling her out of her apartment for years, since she often doesn't even make the effort to get up to go to school."

"I.... I've been by her side for so long, always helping her when she needed me, that I thought I'd come with her to U.A, in case she ever needed me here too."

Your eyes never left Hikisaku, you just continued to watch as she walked away.

To Uraraka, though, it didn't look like you were just staring at Hikisaku. It was the type of look that you'd give someone that you really cared about, a look of longing, where you couldn't help but let out a smile whenever you looked at them.

A loving gaze.

"So, there really isn't any other reason that you're here, L/N? Do you even want to be a hero, then?" Midoriya asked, his voice audibly emotional. You turned to look at him, immediately.

"It's not like that Midoriya! I guess that I just haven't found a reason for myself yet..." your voice trailed off, as your eyes traveled down to the ground.

When you looked back up, there was a renewed confidence in your eyes,"Don't worry about it, I'm sure that I'll figure it out, now that I'm actually at U.A." Then you let out a smile, as you always did, and the three of them did as well.

"Come on, let's get to lunch already!" you cried out, moving past them quickly, walking as fast as your little legs could carry you.

The three of them also started walking quickly, but then they realized they didn't have to, to catch up with you.
