"Yes, it's me." Total Restoration answered after a long stretch of silence, long for a phone call, anyway.
His voice was weary, the typical lightness of his voice amplified by his hushed tone. It was almost cautious, as if he wasn't sure what to say, or, if he should even be speaking at all.
"H—How did you get my number?" Hikisaku's voice revealed her lingering perplexed feelings, even after the earlier silence.
"From our mutual friend. He told me that it wouldn't have been wise if he contacted you himself." That was all that he needed to say, Hikisaku understood who he was talking about immediately.
"Masahiro! You've spoken to him?!? What did he say!?!" She demanded, all of her other emotions washing away as anger overtook her.
"Hikisaku-san please! I'll get to it, but you need to keep this hushed. He told me I can only tell you what he told me if you kept it all to yourself.
The same goes for me, this is for our ears only. Got it?" His voice fluctuated from the hushed tone he wanted to keep it at, to a panicked one that must be leaking out.
He was afraid, and for good reason. As a hero, Total Restoration must have heard about what happened with Psycher, he knows what he's now capable of. Restoration was aware, because he had experienced it firsthand.
".....If, if he knows it would be risky to call someone over the phone, how did he contact you?" Hikisaku asked a question with a very obvious answer.
"Telepathically. But we didn't speak, I don't know how, but he jammed my mind full of all this information I'm to give you without my noticing."
"You are my messenger. That's what I heard before all of these thoughts and messages flooded my mind. It...it wasn't pleasant. It took some time for me to gather my strength before I could take a step. Though, I'm not sure what exactly made me feel that way....."
It didn't seem like this was a conversation Total Restoration wanted to have. He was becoming noticeably jittery, even through the phone, and Hikisaku decided to change the subject.
"What is his message then, Restoration? What did he want you to tell me?" It sounded inconsiderate to gloss over that, but it was for the best for both of them.
"He wants to meet us. You, actually. I'm to escort you to him, or at least, that's how he phrased it." Total Restoration revealed to her.
"Where? When?" She couldn't help but continue hounding him for information he was going to give anyway.
"He said he was near, so I take it that means he's also in the city that I'm currently in. But, he hasn't revealed where yet, he said he'll point us in the right direction when you accept his invitation. When you come to him." He must've been repeating Psycher's words to the letter, as that definitiveness had become a trademark of his.
"So he wants to meet tonight? Where are you, Restoration?!?" She snapped at him now, upon realizing he hadn't told her yet.
"Dantooin, look for me at the Vos Hospital. I'm in town with my brother, who's looking for potential agencies to eventually join. The city isn't large, but it's certainly developing rather quickly, but there still isn't much here." He finally told her, though, the extra information wasn't something she was interested in.
