The robot just stood there, as if it was deep in thought and processing what just happened to it. Suddenly, it began to act erratically, moving all its limbs around strangely and violently.

"What did you do idiot?" the girl yelled out from down the road, finally climbing down from the robot to make her way over to you.

"Not something good I'm guessing!" You yelled back, when the robot without notice swung its entire body around towards you.

At the same time, it began to fire furiously from the gun on its arm, with no regard to where it was aiming. The ground, up towards the ceiling, and even the buildings that made up the city weren't safe from its blasts.

In fact, this seemed to be happening throughout the test arena, with more blasts being shot upwards and from all directions, damaging the entire city to the point of being apocalyptic.

More robots came into view, along with other people who were taking the test, as they were all being driven to the place in the city that you were in.

The students attempted everything they could, but were met with heavy resistance from all the robots, as they continued to attack unpredictably, leaving everyone to be cautious in their attacks.

This meant that the number of robots that were destroyed slowed, leaving enough of them active to completely surround everyone in a circle of unending fire.

You and the girl dodged your way to the center of the ring of robots, unsure of what else to do.

"I'm going to guess that this is all your fault, genius!" She yelled right in front of you, trying to be heard over the losing battle between the machines and would-be students.

"What exactly did you do?"

You ran around in place, attempting to dodge everything that came at you.

"I might have damaged something that lets the robots communicate. The one I hit frenzied and might have told the rest to do the same thing, while also telling them to group together."

"I'm guessing." You added at the end, since you just made that all up by looking at what has happened so far.

"Well, then I guess you should figure out a way to stop them then." She barked back at you using your own words.

You weren't going to take that though, and you did begin to think about what could be done, while you hopelessly ran up to the circle of robots and bashed one weakly with a piece of a robot.

You looked around you and noticed just little room there was between the machines, they left so little room to pass them, they were practically shoulder to shoulder.

With the robots in constant contact, you were sure that one attack chained together could be enough to take them all down at once.

This gave you an awful idea.

'I mean, I'm sure that will work, but how in the hell am I even supposed to do that? I don't have it in me to do with my quirk alone.' You thought back to the girl with earphone jacks.

'Well if she has the time to patronize me for everything I do, maybe she can help me out.'

So once again, you ran across the warzone you found yourself in, or caused depending on who you asked, and eventually found her battling a couple one pointers by jamming her earphone jacks into them.

Whacking one of them in the legs you started your plea, "Please don't call me out on this, but is it safe to assume that you can hear with those things." you said, referring to her quirk.

"No you're right, why are you asking exactly?" she said almost cautiously.

"Well, do you think you can listen for electricity underground?"

"I can do that, but I don't really like where you're going with this." she said, seemingly judging you again.

'Me neither.' you thought as you watched her crouch down and stick her jacks into the ground, her eyes closed as she focused on the sound you asked her to look for.

"Yeah I hear some humming down there, but it's pretty far down, it would take a while to unearth the power lines." She said as she stood back up to look at you.

'Well here goes something.' you thought.

And with that, you out of nowhere threw yourself down and stuck your head into the ground to begin your search.

Taken aback, the girl could only yell out a "What the hell!" as you proceeded to stick more of your body into the ground in an attempt to reach.

Feeling around, you felt something different from the rest of the ground around you, and much like with the robots, you moved your hand in a chopping motion to cut what you hoped was a power line.

"Hey, are you ok?" The girl blurted out, when just as suddenly as you plunged into the ground, you came back out with a massive piece of active wire under your arm.

You ran towards the ring of robots and when you got close enough you thrust the massive wire into the chest of a robot, electricity flowing through not only it, but the rest of the robots that made up the surrounding ring.

You weren't safe either, as you felt all that electricity flow through you as well.

After a few seconds, you finally let go of the wire and fell over, as the air around began to smell like bacon. The ring of robots just stood there motionless, the electricity frying all of them.

The girl came up to you, and looked down at you on the floor.

"Hey, you alright?"

You couldn't muster a response, so instead you gave her a thumbs up slowly, before pointing towards the robots, trying to tell her to destroy them completely. She seemed to understand you, and just left you laying there.

And that's where you would remain, as you could barely make out the sounds of the rest of the would-be students as they destroyed all the robots.

No one came to help you until the time for the exam finally expired, with people finally coming to wheel you out of the arena.

Author: Man, writing is harder than I thought, I feel like I should be writing more detail, but I also don't want to make the story so wordy.

Proofreader: Yeah? Maybe you should give up. This just isn't for you.

Author: Will you stop that? I'm sure I'll get better once I get to the stuff I really want to write, especially the fights.

Proofreader: Oh God, and you said fights would be one whole chapter? I can wait for them then.
