The three of you returned to the hotel just after 3AM. You'd think that going to bed while it was still dark would give you a much needed few extra hours of rest. But that wasn't the case.
You were scheduled to meet the Saloocamai police head of organized crime at 10AM. If you got up an hour earlier to prepare, that gave you about.....not enough damn time to sleep.
That time grew even less when your phone rang at about 7. Nonstop. Only one person would be that persistent, and upon realizing that, you quickly broke out of the sea of blankets you were sleeping in to get to your phone.
"Mimi?" You asked as soon as you answered the phone.
"Yugo, what the hell? You're always awake around this time, so don't give me shit about you being asleep!" Hikisaku's voice rang out from your phone.
"I was, actually."
"Huh? Really?"
"We, or Tanahashi actually, decided that we'd investigate during the night. We're supposed to be asleep during the day, but I was just interrupted."
"Why are you complaining? You don't even sleep that much!"
"Huh? Well, I still need it! I'm a person after all! If it weren't for having to wake up for school, you'd sleep the whole damn day!"
"O.K! Don't start throwing statistics at me! I just wanted to know what the hell you were up to!"
"Yugo?" A voice asked softly behind you.
You turned around to see Uraraka sitting up in the bed. She looked like she had been abruptly woken up, which she had. Her hair was a mess, and her eyes could barely open.
All your almost yelling woke her up. Yes, that even included Hikisaku's yelling on the phone.
You mouthed a "sorry" to her before turning your attention back to Hikisaku.
"Well, we really haven't found anything yet. I couldn't even tell you whether or not she's in this city. We're meeting from someone on the police force who can hopefully point us in the right direction."
"Barely? The first thing you did wasn't going to the police then? Why?" She asked. She was making a lot of sense here.
"I didn't consider them to be a source of information, honestly. They've been more of an obstacle in the past than anything else."
"Oh yeah. I know what you're getting at. Hopefully, they'll be helpful this time around."
"Mhm. I'd rather look like I didn't sleep outside their building. So, can I get back to sleep now?"
"Hm? Sure, I have to get ready for school. Go back to sleep. Lucky bastard." She said the last part quietly, before hanging up.
You put your phone back onto the table it was on before.
"Yugo, why wasn't your phone on silent? Do you hate sleep?" Uraraka asked in a tired voice, as you were halfway through a yawn.
"Eh? No. It wasn't on silent because of the person who just called me." You said incredibly vaguely.
"Hikisaku?" She guessed correctly.
