---------------------------------------------------------
Around 5am was the time that you woke up at today, your arm hanging limply off the bed as you opened your eyes to your room illuminated by the light from buildings around the apartment.
'Damn, it's still pretty dark, there's no way I'm going back to sleep at this time...I guess I'm going to have to keep myself busy."
You got up, got dressed, and left your room to look for things to do around the house.
However, despite how busy your mom tended to be, she still found the time to get everything done, which really left you with only one alternative; going over to Hikisaku's and get things done there.
---------------------------------------------------------
Over at the door of the apartment, you tried to turn the knob, but it didn't budge.
'Well, at least she locks the damn door.'
You were prepared for the off chance she did lock the door, and pulled out a set of keys, fumbling them around lightly until you found a specific one. You then stuck that key into the keyhole, and it fit perfectly in it, unlocking the door as you turned the key.
Why the hell did you even have Hikisaku's apartment in the first place? Well the short answer is you're in there for about half your day anyway, so why wouldn't you?
The longer answer is that your mother actually owned the entire apartment building, in fact, she owned several of these buildings around town.
She also did any of the maintenance that the tenants she rented them to might need herself, so she often found herself racing from one building to another to get things done. You figured you'd just 'borrow' this building's keys to get around.
Inside the apartment, you flicked on the lights, assuming that Hikisaku had gone to sleep to her room, and she hadn't passed out in front of the T.V. or in the middle of lifting weights.
With actual light in the living room now, you could actually see what a mess it was, trash littered the floor, and a towel was left on the ground, discolored from a mysterious stain that wasn't properly wiped away.
Weights and dumbbells were left haphazardly on the floor, a miracle that she didn't trip on anything.
Don't let this all fool you into thinking something else. The fact that the lights were left off all the time, the fact that you came in often to cook for her, and the apartment being left a mess practically every day is because Hikisaku might be the laziest that a person can be.
Not only that, she's a big introvert, and the only real person that she talks to is you, and hardly ever leaves the house outside of school, even then she keeps to herself.
Other than weightlifting and other forms of exercise that she could do from the safety of her apartment, Hikisaku spent her time parked in front of the T.V., either watching something or playing something.
It wasn't a very exciting life, but she seemed to enjoy the hell out of it. Besides, it's not like yours was anymore action packed than hers.
You weren't really sure why spent all that time reminding yourself of who Hikisaku was, but you figured you'd just fix up the place to kill time.
Hours flew by as you cleaned up basically the entire apartment except for Hikisaku's room, which probably was twice as messy as the rest of the apartment combined.
The next time you gave yourself a chance to look at the time, it was 8am, and Hikisaku was still fast asleep, which you weren't really surprised by. You decided to come back later, when you were sure that she was awake.
