Your sister's defeat, your victory, came as a massive surprise, and a huge relief, to the nearby onlookers. None of their reactions, even those so extreme and extravagant that they appeared awkward without it, produced any noise. Aside from the thuds that echoed throughout the now barren field in front of Heights Alliance as Hikisaku dropped to the ground, silence had befallen the area.

Or it would've, if not for you. What should have been a quiet and serene moment after an intense battle was tainted with the sound of your struggling for air. Not to worry; that would soon be rectified by your breathing coming to a sudden stop after a final, agonizing inhale.

Falling to your knees shortly after, they buckled almost immediately from your fragility. Throwing out your arms to break your fall, they almost gave out for the same reason. Uraraka nearly ran to your side, but she managed to restrain herself. Beyond pushing you to confront your sister, she shouldn't have anything to do with this. As much as she wanted to see this happen, this wasn't something she should involve herself in.

Your breathing eventually returned before you fully collapsed, rattling to life like a dying engine. With the meager amount of energy you had available, you raised your head to check on your dear sister's condition.

Things had changed, but beyond your declaration to be a better sibling, you hadn't. Your love for your sister would always transcend what little care you had for yourself.
The large body ahead engulfing your field of view, it was clear to you that all of the change that filled this crater had seeped into Hikisaku.

A good deal of her body blanketed by her extensive, at present black hair, Hikisaku appeared to be at peace, surrounded by the chaos she had sowed. On her side with her arms bent out in front of her, she had taken the stereotypical sleeping position of a girl her age. Except, all you had to do was look at her to realize that she was anything but. And if you knew her, she would never show this level of tranquility.

But this wasn't the Hikisaku that your classmates knew. She had changed.

Before your strength could get the chance to merge into something usable, you began to crawl over to your sister. Adjusting for the small difference in size, you were hardly faster than a baby barely learning to move on their own. You moved over her slightly, coming to a stop with your knees a few centimeters away from her arms.

Knowing full well you wouldn't be able to do any lifting, her head included, you at the very least decided to part the void that was her hair from her face. You were surprised to find that she had already regained consciousness. Staring out into the nothingness that she had left behind, she darted her eyes up at you the moment you cleared her face.

The fire in her eyes had not gone out, but it had diminished; the searing rage had extinguished, leaving the blazing passion behind. Hikisaku had changed, but not by much. The anger that so often consumed her was gone, granting her other emotions the opportunity to be expressed. The girl that you had taught anger to was no more.

"Yugo-nii?" She let out calmly, at a near whisper.

Astonished to hear her refer to you in that manner, you turned towards your shoulder for a few seconds before looking back down at her. The sudden motion caused a few of the many tears that already formed to fly to the ground beside Hikisaku's head. Even if her eyes weren't fixed on your weeping face, even if she never turned away from the abyss, she would've noticed those beads refracting the light behind her.
