Stunned by the revelation she just received, Uraraka spaced out, staring off in the direction Hikisaku had been standing in only a few seconds before. This wasn't an unexpected reaction, she was surprised on many levels by what she had been told.
The fact that she had been told anything at all was in of itself unbelievable.
That, and because she refused to believe what she heard. You had told her that the reason for your sparring was because Hikisaku blamed you for the death of her other family.
Either that was a half truth or you lied, and she couldn't consider for even a second that the latter was true.
Then again, she felt the same way about Hikisaku's claim. She had said it with far too much emotion from every fiber of her being to be lying.
Nor was she someone she's ever thought of as being capable of lying that extremely. Even then, there would be zero reason for her to accuse you of being a fraud unless it deeply offended her.
'But if neither of them are lying, does that mean both of their stories are true?' Was Uraraka's conclusion, but it clearly wasn't definitive. She'd need more, and she certainly wouldn't get anything else out of Hikisaku.
She needed to hear it from you. The whole truth. Everything. And the only way to do that, would be to rescue you from Psycher.
That is of course, if there was someone left saving. Unlike your sister, Uraraka hadn't come to the realization that Psycher's plan would eventually lead to your death.
There wasn't much time left, she understood that, but not because of this more pressing reason. All she knew is, Psycher would reveal himself one last time, and she was determined to be there when he did.
"Uraraka-san!" A very familiar voice called out from behind her. He sounded worried, and sure enough, his expression shared in that sentiment as she turned around to come face to face with Midoriya.
He came to a stop a bit too close to her, but neither of them seemed to realize this for a couple seconds. When his brain finally gave him a hint, he took a couple steps backwards while scratching the back of his neck, to hide his embarrassment.
"Are you all right?" His persisting worry shined through the nervousness he now felt.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine, Deku. Why wouldn't I be?" The awkward feeling that had flared in her as well was quickly replaced by genuine curiosity.
"You got into it with Hikisaku-san, didn't you? It sounded pretty heated...was that all that happened? Were words the only things thing that fired off?" He wasn't being subtle in the slightest, but Uraraka's good natured spirit prevented her from figuring out what he meant right away.
When she did, she let out a surprised gasp.
"No! Of course not! Why would you even think that?" She asked quietly, but it was in the same, upset cadence as her gasp. Midoriya of all people coming up with something twisted like that shocked her.
"Well, from what Y/N has said, she's not above using violence to make it seem like she's won an argument." Izuku recalled, hoping to get his friend to do the same.
She faintly remembered you saying that, but if there was something she didn't trust right now, it was her memory. She couldn't deny that it sounded like something Hikisaku would do, but she refused to accept it.
