"Let's give you all the run down for the next event! It will be a cavalry battle! Build a team and come together with other students to create your own cavalry!
One student will dominate their team as the rider, and they'll be in charge of the ribbons that'll be handed out once the teams are built!"
"Try your best to keep a hold of your ribbon, or get frisky and try taking them from other teams! Be careful not to let your team collapse too quickly now, or you won't last the full 15 minutes!"
"Now, get to finding those perfect teammates!" Midnight explained, innuendos galore.
"Mimi?" you questioned as you looked up to her.
It was less asking her to team with you, more asking if she even wanted to team with you. She smirked, and you understood why after her reply.
"Sure, but I get to be the rider." Hikisaku said it confidently, but you just looked at her like she was crazy.
"Huh? You know the rest of the team has to carry the rider, right? How do you expect me to do that?"
"Is this really that hard for you to understand? We'll just find another partner, come on."
The two of you travelled around the stadium, looking for a partner, and well.... you didn't find anyone. It wasn't like there was a shortage of people who needed a team.
The problem was that Hikisaku intimidated them all, either because they knew her reputation, or she rubbed them the wrong way immediately with how she asked.
So, you were forced to carry Hikisaku yourself, which wouldn't be too much of a problem, if you had any muscle to do it. You had your arms around her ankles, her bare feet making it at least a little easier to grip into you.
Your knees locked into place, and you knew immediately that you weren't going anywhere.
"Mimi, this isn't going to work. Like I literally can't move with you on top." you struggled to get out, but she still managed to hear it.
"Tough it out, then! If we have to stand here, then your quirk will get us as many ribbons as we need!"
"What! You're just going to make me do all the work?! For 15 minutes?!" You managed to catch enough air to yell back at her.
She didn't get the chance to respond, as Midnight started again.
"Alright, with the teams set up, we'll start handing out the ribbons! As the winner of the first event, Hikisaku-chan has been given a ribbon worth 10 million points. If you ended up dead last in the obstacle race, then that's your ticket to the final round."
"What!" the two of you yelled out in unison, as the eyes of all the other teams landed on both of you.
Hikisaku just took the ribbon cautiously, and tied it weakly on her arm, both because she didn't want to, and because you knew she couldn't.
"Without further ado, let the cavalry battle begin!"
Right as Midnight finished her sentence, Hikisaku took her other hand, ripped the ribbon off her arm, and chucked it as hard as she could towards the center of the arena. You just looked on in horror.
"Mimi! What the helllll!" you yelled out as you watched the rest of the teams scramble towards the ribbon as it twirled in the air unceremoniously.
"We don't need it Yugo! I'm not stupid, I don't need everyone to come at us like that! We'll just take some other ribbons right before the time runs out!" She proceeded to sit down on top of you, forcing you to lean forward so she can settle properly on your back.
