You and Hikisaku returned to Coreleah as soon as you woke up.
And made breakfast for her.
You had a lead. Tomorrow, at the airport, you'd wait and ambush him and whoever you were meeting in the airport. It wasn't a well thought out plan, but you were sure it would work.
All you had to do was wait, and you'd finally have a chance to see the Hero Hunter, up close and personal.
For the first time, and the last, you hoped.
You and Hikisaku took the time you had before then to scour the city and look for the informant, On-Black-Feathers.
You had been given a very vague description, but it was also something so specific that you figured you'd find him easily. If he's as old as you were told he was, and an informant on top of that, there had to be plenty of people in the city that would know him.
You thought wrong.
It was noon, and you were nowhere closer to finding On-Black-Feathers than you were when you started earlier today. You asked everyone that you felt would know, including Director Lo, to little success.
"On-Black-Feathers? I've heard of him, but I couldn't tell you where to find him, I'm afraid. Why do you ask? You're doing work out of Kazero's division, correct? I'd figure that he's given you all the information you'd need."
"You sure? In our case, it was the exact opposite." You had responded.
That was a few hours ago now. You and Hikisaku walked through the streets of Coreleah, half taking a break, half hoping that something would fall into your lap.
Maybe you were in luck. In the distance, a large crowd had gathered, large enough that they blocked traffic, both foot and road. You and Hikisaku decided to go over and investigate, to see if any heroes hadn't already arrived at the scene.
You and Hikisaku ran over. At some point Hikisaku scooped you up, and threw you over the crowd cleanly with the momentum she gained. Well, not too cleanly, you ended up landing on your ass since you had no time shift yourself in the air.
Hikisaku backed away from the ground to stop herself from hearing them up as she turned into light to fly over them.
She landed next to you just as you got back to your feet. You finally looked up to see what everyone was so invested in, and your eyes narrowed at what you saw.
All traffic through this route had stopped, because there was practically no road, and some sidewalk to travel on. There was a massive fissure in the road, and the surrounding buildings had also been damaged by debris.
You already had a feeling about what happened here, but it would be good to ask first.
There were a couple of heroes that managed the traffic, while also keeping the citizens at bay. There was only one who actively investigated the scene, though he was on the other side of the fissure.
He had a worried look on his face and it was also battered, he must have been nearby when this happened.
You decided that he would be the best person to talk to. You have Hikisaku a light tap, and you walked over to the hero.
