Just now feeling as though he said enough, Psycher cut what he was saying short. Slowly, without turning away from the teenagers below, he ascended to the helipad behind him. Hovering just over the edge, he gave what he hoped to be the final thing he ever said to Hikisaku.
"Through the computer of the owner of the agency you found me in, I contacted a hero in Canada capable of hypersonic speeds. In eight minutes time, they'll arrive in this city, entering my quirk's range in the process. With that power, I will finally have everything I need." He explained in his commanding voice.
"Farewell, Mimitaka. You can't bear to look me in the eyes anymore, and that's okay. If never seeing each other again is what you wish, then so be it. As your companion, I'm content with doing that. But as a person, I'll admit that I have my own reason for wanting this to be our final meeting." His voice became more and more quiet as he spoke, the insanity that swelled within him soothing just enough to allow his true self to shine through.
"I want to spend the rest of my life believing that the two of us are still friends." He revealed somberly, placing his right hand over his chest as if it pained him to say.
"Just...Please. Let me leave. Nothing more needs to happen." He said softly. Then, as if a switch inside him was flipped, his whole demeanor changed.
"Don't push me over the edge." He warned, in the same overly arrogant tone he had been speaking in prior.
Even if the sudden change in his voice didn't make his shift in behavior obvious, his poor, hypocritical choice of words did. He threatened Hikisaku with violence if she provoked him physically, but he seemed to completely ignore the fact that he had just finished provoking her emotionally.
Unfortunately for him, she was incapable of retaliating in the same manner. Words may have hurt her, but she would never turn to them as a medium for battle. The only pain she knew how to inflict was through her fists, and she desired to unleash it.
But who Hikisaku wanted to eviscerate, she was unsure of.
The entire time Psycher spoke, she never once hinted that she was paying attention to him. She just stood in that eerie, defeated pose of hers, unmoving. In that time, her mind was flooded with all the things she had been told, all the things that had ever upset her.
Now, as Psycher turned around to slowly float towards the center of the helipad and out of sight, her brain cycled through several phrases. The worst things that her ears have ever had the displeasure of hearing.
'Yugo thinks of me as family.'
'I got this from L/N, actually. They gave it to me.'
'It's my guarantee to you. As a friend.'
'Mimi. I shouldn't break promises lightly.'
'What? What did she call them?'
'That tunnel vision of yours has done nothing but hurt you, Mimitaka.'
'I want you to be happy, so the world and I can finally see you again.'
'I'm their sister, I should be a far higher priority of theirs than a friend!'
