The Clash of Pawns

You and Tanahashi fell for a few seconds, before crashing down onto the roof of a moving box truck's cargo box on the road below the overpass.

You felt yourself slowly sliding down the cargo box, as your weight wasn't enough to keep you on the truck as it sped down the very high road you found yourself on.
Your quirk was your only hope to make sure you weren't easily thrown off.

You quickly got to your hands and knees, and looked up to see Tanahashi's boot about to meet your face.

You pushed yourself up and back into the air, the truck passing quickly under you. With your quirk, you fused right back onto it, a couple meters from where you were before.

No distance was made between you and Tanahashi however. Just as you came back down onto the truck, Tanahashi threw his hand out to try and absolutely blast you with his fist.

You guided his arm past you, and you attempted to get behind him with his fist now away from you.
That didn't work out, he just spun around quickly to hit you with a back fist. Again, you found himself deflecting his attack by grabbing his arm and forcing him to spin around completely.

Now that Tanahashi was facing away from you, you attempted to jump on his back to gain control of him. He immediately bent forward to throw you back onto the truck.

With your quirk, you prevented yourself from simply flying off the truck. You quickly tried turning back around to face him, while trying to get back to your feet in the process.

You were almost back to your feet, in a squatted position when Tanahashi stomped his foot into the roof of the cargo box in front of you, and the metal bent inward as your gaze met his crazed eyes.

KENICHI TANAHASHI

Tanahashi's foot in front of you kicked upward, as he hoped to catch you in the chin.

That didn't happen, as you rolled backwards to avoid the point of his boot.
In that motion, you were able to catch a proper glimpse of Tanahashi.

He was practically the same, actually. Other than the fact that he was clearly pissed off, everything about him was similar to how he appeared then, in Raxus.

He wore a duster that was practically the same as the one he had on before, except that it was less dirty.
Underneath it, was a grey jumpsuit, the type that you would wear while incarcerated.
Clearly, the first thing he did was try and come after you, or maybe, it was the only thing he cared about.

Tanahashi's foot quickly came back down, as losing his footing wasn't something that he could afford.

He approached you slowly, not only because he had to, but because he could. There wasn't anywhere to go, there was very little space on the cargo box of the truck.
For you, there was only one way to go, forward, towards Tanahashi.

And that's what you did. With great difficulty, you walked carefully towards Tanahashi, and he did the same.

When the two of you were within striking distance, all of that caution disappeared from the two of you.
