"Annndddd Begin!"

Bakugo carpet bombed the arena, with explosions sweeping across it, preventing you from seeing anything as the blinding light and dust that it kicked up blinded you.

When you were able to open your eyes, through the explosions, Bakugo came racing towards you in the air, launching himself with explosions beneath him.

You had no time to react, and all you managed was to put your arms up when he reached you.

He shifted himself midair in front of you, his legs pushed out towards you. Then his arms followed suit, and just a few feet from you, started to launch explosion right at your face.

You fused yourself down to the floor in a laying forward position, letting you immediately dodge his attack, but you felt the heat of the explosions at your feet.

You crawled forward, but Bakugo stopped using his explosions, which allowed him to fall back to the ground, right in front of you.

You watched as his shoes landed right in front of your eyes, and you scrambled back up to your feet, using your quirk to go straight through him.

He turned around quickly, launching explosions as his arm swung around in the air to the left of him. This covered the entire area to his right when he turned completely around, leaving you no choice but to run to the corner of the arena to his left.

He had you right where he wanted you in the first minute of the fight.

He then launched more explosions, to the right and left of you as he continued to further and further lead you into corner of the arena, and you let him do it, because you could do nothing else but hope he'd make a mistake.

Finally, you were left standing right at the edge of the arena, and you turned around quickly to face him. He confidently threw a single explosion at you, believing that it was all it would take to knock you off the arena floor.

The explosion hit you square in the chest, and for the first time, you felt the sheer power that Bakugo was capable of. It knocked the wind out of you, and you were left struggling for air.

However, unlike what Bakugo expected, you didn't budge from your place at all. You decided to use your quirk to plant yourself to the ground, instead of dodging the explosion.

That's all you were capable of at this point, you had very little energy left to use your quirk, even defensively.

'Screw it.'

You ran straight towards Bakugo, who was still in the center of the arena, and in response, he launched his explosions at you. You didn't attempt to dodge them, and you ran straight through them too.

The heat was unbearable, your eyes began to sting as the light blinded you, and the force was so strong that it physically pushed you back even if they grazed you, but you still sprinted right at him.

You eventually managed to reach him, and he didn't budge from his spot at all. Because of how close you were, he was forced to stop using his quirk, unless he wanted to catch himself in in his explosions.
