The "agents of darkness" that Psycher forced upon Class 1A had an aversion for staredowns, even without his mental intervention. The pale woman may have a flare for the theatrics, but the unit as a whole was designed for combat.

It mattered not who their master was; If they were ordered to seek out and destroy a target, they would listen. Who or what it was, it did not matter.

The class had no way of knowing that, of course.

But the unformed void and the flickering man suddenly appearing on the ground to meet them told them that teenagers were not an issue at all.

The students in fear of their presence only felt it for a moment. They swiftly rallied with their fellow classmates to confront the darkness with all their courage.

They knew nothing about their opponents, except for the fact that they wouldn't be in the way for long.

Uraraka raised her arms and shifted her stance, fully prepared to wrestle with shadows.

In the rooftops high above them, the other agents were just as determined to take the fight to Hikisaku and Midoriya as their companions.

Enthralled with the woman in front of her, and Midoriya's line of sight being blocked by her in his position, neither realized the featureless shadow had taken aim until it was too late.

The familiar sound of someone's spine being ripped out of them alerted the two teens to its actions. Hikisaku, assuming she was being targeted, backed away to get out of the silhouette's large reach.

Half of a person zipped past her, completely blotting out her vision as it did. It seemed like it wasn't anywhere close to being done with Midoriya yet.

After the man of shadows completely passed by Hikisaku, her field of vision was still not freed from the blackness.

The woman had leapt over from the other roof to lunge at her. She was already face to face with Hikisaku, leaving her with no other option but to begin raising her arms and hope she survives.

Hope was perhaps not optimistic enough of a description for Hikisaku's thoughts. She believed she could end the battle in at an any moment, and the desire to chase Psyched made he decide that now was the moment.

Shifting her hands to aim her palms up to the woman, Hikisaku turned them into energy. The light they produced seemed to be completely absorbed by the woman's body, as it failed to illuminate her.

Well, she was about to absorb an exorbitant amount of it from the two beams that came from the palms. They were so close together that they essentially formed one ray large enough to envelop the foreigner's lower body.

Actually, her legs and lower stomach were completely disintegrate by the blast. Finding herself with less mass than normal, she was able to twist around in the air to avoid colliding with Hikisaku.
