Veneer POV:

I wake up bright and early, or, well, way early before it's even bright outside. Velv and I have been meticulously planning today for a hot minute, so I wanted to be up as early as I could be.

I get out of bed and hurry to start my everything shower. I need to be on my A-game for her today and tomorrow, so it's only fitting that I'm completely ready at all times. Once showered and in nice clothes/hair/makeup, I hurry to Jewels to get her ready.

She blinks at me from behind her blankie as I open her cage. She does not like to be up early, but this weekend, she will have to make an exception.

Ven: "Your Mom is having her bachelorette party, so everything has to be cute, pink, and fun, which includes you."

I pick Jewels up and carry her to my closet before sitting her on the chair. I pull out her outfits and hold them up to her so I can pick the cutest one.

Ven: "Hmm. I think I like this combo the best. Would you like this bow or... this one?"

I hold them up for Jewels and let her decide. She picks the pale pink bow and holds it still as I dress her.

Ven: "Aww, perfect! You look so pretty!"

She stares at herself in the mirror and bounces from side to side excitedly. I pick her up and take her downstairs, where I find Ritz enjoying a bowl of cereal.

Kid Ritz: "Aww! Jewels is all ready to go!"

Ven: "Yup. I think I'm mostly ready. We'll see you later tonight."

I kiss him on the cheek before packing Jewels up and heading out the door. We drive over to Velv's new place with Orchid. Rollie and Midori will get here a little later; I just wanted to be early to ensure she has everything she wants set up.

I am buzzed in and walk up a beautiful, gleaming white staircase to a bright, pretty hallway decorated with pink flowers. I knock on their door and smile as I see a pretty wreath hung on the door.
