I take her to the food table and show her all of the foods our chefs prepared.

She claps happily and looks over the food excitedly as I grab her a plate.
Carlos: "Show me what you want. I will make for you."
She nods and points out all she wants. I prepare her food and then take it to our table we share with our group. I pull her chair out for her and make sure she's seated before I go and get her a drink.
I pour her horchata and bring it to her before getting my food. Once I'm ready, I take a seat alongside her. We eat happily and laugh as our friends make fun commentary.
Rollie: "So, M, can we know now how Carlos proposed to you?"
Midori smiles and nods excitedly as she looks at me. She holds up our hands and proudly shows off our wedding rings.

Midori: "We had gotten home from a long day at the restaurant, and I was feeling pretty tired. Carlos said he wanted to show me something and encouraged me to change into something comfortable before we left, so I put on my night gown. I had no idea what he was planning, so I think it's funny I was dressed so casually."
I smile as I remember how nervous I was to ask her to join me after such a long day. She looked adorable in her vestido de la noche.
Midori: "I was surprised with a blanket and my plushie already waiting for me in the front seat of his car. He wouldn't tell me where we were going, so it was a really exciting surprise! We drove here where his friend Mateo, who owns the ranch, was waiting for us."
I look at Mateo, sitting with my family, talking happily.
Midori: "Carlos and Mateo had set up a little date for me! There were flowers, cookies, conchas, and hot chocolate! It was so much fun! I had no idea what Carlos had in store for me. Carlos? Wanna finish?"
I nod and wipe my mouth with my napkin.
Carlos: "I said, "I will be back." I got up and went away, then came back con joyas. I had three. I felt in my heart panic to give them to her."
