Ven walks with me to the elevator and rubs my arm encouragingly as we descend. We're greeted in the lobby by a hotel staff worker and follow them to the wedding hall. I get lots of stares and compliments from others, which makes me feel good about myself.
We get to the wedding hall, and I feel my heart race.
Ven: "This is it, Velvet. I'm so excited!"
Velv: "I'm ready!"
Ven smiles and knocks on the doors. They open to reveal a brilliant hall where the rest of our friends and Orchid wait.

A beautiful symphony sound rings out as Ven walks me down the aisle. I look at Orchid and see her wiping tears away. Kid Ritz cries next to her and looks especially worked up.
I smile as tears prick my eyes; this is exactly how I have dreamed my wedding would be ever since I was a little girl. My dreams of getting saved by my knight in shining armor... and that's Orchid.
We reach the end of the aisle, and Ven takes his place on the other side of me as Orchid reaches for my hands. She takes a deep breath as she looks me over. I can't believe how stunning she looks in her all-white suit; it's truly something for me to marvel at.

Officiant: "We are gathered here today for a beautiful wedding between Orchid Mariposa and Velvet Vix. If you all are ready, let us start the wedding!"
As the officiant speaks, I hear light sniffles from the audience and the quiet clicks of Rollie's camera. Jewels stays incredibly quiet and looks beautiful as she sits on Fred's lap, dressed in her sparkly white babydoll dress and bows.
Even though we only have four friends in the audience, Floyd and Jewels, it feels like a perfect number of viewers for my special day.
Officiant: "And now, it is time for the declaration of intent. Ms. Mariposa, would you like to go first?"
