Kid Ritz POV:

Carlos parks to see a line of fans and Rageons already filtering into The Boom Box. The Mayor's face has been printed and plastered on signs in front of the building.

Gross.

Kid Ritz: "Okay, I will have you three stick with me until I know Jaye Bee and the Sage Boyz are in their dressing rooms. Then, it's up to you guys to play the part of fans."

Midori: "We're ready."

I nod and lead the group through the back door. I weave us through the hallway until we get to a room with my name on it.

I open up and let the trio inside, feeling just the tiniest bit excited to have my own dressing room finally.

I close the door, yet open it right up as I hear a knock. I see Crimp, her frizzy self looking up at me with a big smile.

Crimp: "Hello!!! I'm so excited for you to host! This is SO much better than being eaten!"

Kid Ritz: "Oh, uh... yeah."

Crimp: "I've been hired as the Mayor's new assistant! He told me to greet and thank you for coming and for not being on the "wrong side," haha!"

Kid Ritz: "Yes, well... you can, uh, tell him I'm glad to help."

Crimp: "Oh, I will! I'll check in with you before the show starts!"

Kid Ritz: "Okay... that's great. Thank you..."

She smiles and stares at me. Uh... okay...

Kid Ritz: "I am actually just going to close the door now, alright?"

She waves as I shut the door. Ugh... I don't want to be mean... but she's freaky. I shake my head as I go join the trio on the couch.

Midori: "Carlos is in trouble; he knows nothing of the songs of Phat Sammy!"

Kid Ritz: "That's ok since he probably won't meet him."

Orchid: "Yeah, it's alright. We just need to be high energy and silly, enough to keep the conversation moving."

I look through my notecards nervously until we hear a loud conversation from the hallway.

It's Crimp greeting Jaye Bee. I can't help but eye roll at her obnoxious voice.

Kid Ritz: "Well, Jaye Bee is here. Wanna... go see him?"

The trio nod and follow me to the door. Just as we reach it, I hear the Sage Boyz be greeted.

Kid Ritz: "Good riddance, the whole lot is here."

I open the door and follow Crimp's incessant voice to Jaye's dressing room.

I knock, pretending to be excited to see him.

Jaye: "Kid Ritz? That you? Come over here, brother."

I give him a bro hug, hating how rough his hugs are.

Kid Ritz: "Hey, man. It's really good to see you."

Jaye: "You too! I'm glad you're not with the twins. They were cool, but apparently, I was told they threatened the Mayor WITH Rollie Roy AND Dom."

Kid Ritz: "No way, that's crazy!"

Jaye: "I know! But..."

He pulls his sunglasses down as he looks and whispers at me.

Jaye: "You didn't hear it from me-"

He stops as he sees Midori. He slightly pushes past me as he walks up to her.
